Today, my boyfriend and I were driving back to college. He broke up with me 2 hours into the 3 hour drive. I had to sit in the car with him for the last hour. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me by sending me a text. She was sitting right beside me on a 10 hour car trip, and there was still 6 more hours to go. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend cheated on me. We're in the middle of nowhere and have a 4-hour drive home. FML
Today, my boyfriend thought it'd be a good idea to break up with me in his car. I had to walk home. FML
Today, after breaking up with my girlfriend, we were stuck behind a 7-car accident for 2 hours in the car. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to text him when I got home after driving 40 miles in bad weather from his house back to mine. When I did, he broke up with me. FML
Today, I broke up with my girlfriend. Driving her home, we got stuck in a construction zone. I waited half an hour with with my ex-girlfriend bawling her eyes out in the passenger seat as I watched the traffic lady eat her lunch. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two and a half years left me. To clear my head I decided to go for a drive. My car broke down on the way. The only mechanic I have ever used and trusted with my car is my boyfriend. Yes, I had to call him. FML
How very dare you?
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because he "couldn't handle the distance." He said he "couldn't commit to driving to see me long term." We live two hours apart, and I've driven to him every time; he never tried to come to me once. FML
Next time, text me instead

Weird reason, but OK
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, sitting in my car, an hour into a four-hour trip. The reason? I haven't been lifting with him at his gym during the COVID-19 pandemic. The kicker? We were headed back after a stay-cation with his mom, because yesterday was my birthday. FML

How can people possibly think she deserved it?

That's when you start flipping off everyone you pass on the road while he's driving, then they take down his license plate number and beat his sorry ass later.

What a dumbass. I mean, he couldn't wait the last hour? Maybe there was someone else he was meeting when he got back? Whatever, you are clearly better off without him.

this is how it probably happened: you guys were driving and talking, you get into an argument, you're both upset, he gets flustered, says we should probably take a break, and you said fine. Neither of you meant it, both of you are stubborn. Hurray! You deserve each other.

Don't judge until you have been in the same situation.

#15 Wow. That's some serious filler going on right there o_0 OP - That totally blows. I've had something like that before - being told something hugely unpleasant whilst stuck on the road, except I got told 15 minutes in and had to deal with it for the next few hours. ******* awkward. People who do that kind of thing are dickheads, even worse when it's a break up scenario. FYL indeed.

wow, very impressive. Despite the situation he could have waited an hour ... sounds like he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box.
