Today, my boss got mad at me because I told her that I wouldn't be able to work two days out of the week, due to college classes. She then cut back my hours so much that I now only work one day a week. I got the job in the first place to pay for my college classes. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boss reprimanded me for not finishing my work on time. Yesterday, she cut an hour from my schedule every day until further notice. FML
Catch 22
Today I was fired from my job. They fired me because they couldn't work around my college schedule. The only reason they hired me was because they were looking for college students and without a job I can't go back to school. FML
Today, I handed in my 2 weeks notice, since I have to leave for college soon. My boss told me it was fine, then cut all my remaining shifts. FML
Spanner
Today, I found out that my mom called my boss informing him that I am a little behind on some college projects. She felt he should know that she fears I might not be able to graduate on the planned date. My boss had already offered me a permanent job. I may not get that job now. FML
Seize the means
Today, I found out I'm getting a pay cut, a week after I told my boss I need a raise or second job just to afford bills. I made the company 10k last week. FML
Today, I shouldn't have told my boss that I was interested in management. She now throws any problem she doesn't want to solve at me and either gets mad when I can't work it out or takes credit when I do. FML
Today, my boss found out I had applied for a much better paying job. He told me I'd do a better job and make more money there. Then he fired me. FML
Today, my boss called me and asked why I haven't been showing up to work. I didn't show up because he fired me last week over the phone. Then he fired me again for not showing up to work. FML
Today, I found out via a voicemail from my boss that my hours are being cut. He said, "They said I can't fire you, so you'll only be getting 20 hours a week. Starting today." Who'd they give my other 20 hours to? The one person that calls off sick almost daily and is never on time. FML
Nothing for money
Today, my boss told me I was fired 3 weeks ago because there's no money to pay me, meaning that I worked the last three weeks for free. FML

That's really rude, at least you offered to work 5 days

Don't worry, OP! Now you have more time to stress over classes and the finals they bring! Who needs financial income when you've got stress keeping you going!

Do people really stress that much over finals? I'm in my second year of university and from what I have seen finals aren't that hard.

#16, maybe it's just me but I find that finals coupled with the financial aspect of acquiring a higher education can be quite stressful for most students.

I think it might just be me. I don't get stressed over much. Also I'm extremely good at remembering facts. Usually just the lecture and the homework is plenty for me to learn the material. So tests don't seem hard to me. Thats why I have a hard time understanding how others handle tests.

It's not always that easy.

I know how you feel. My boss keeps trying to schedule me during my classes. I hope you get it worked out OP.

If your boss expects complete flexibility from you but shows none in return, you might just be better off finding another job.

Did you talk about this before? I mean, did your boss know you'd have classes you needed to be free for, or did you fail to mention that during the job interview? Because if so, Y kinda DI. If not, well, good luck finding a better job with a less sucky boss...

well did she hire you on the condition that you could work those days? when looking for a job most people say they have a wide open schedule then that schedule slowly shrinks so I can understand her frustration. However it should be easier for you to get a job elsewhere now that you are currently employed so use those extra days to find something better.

Your boss sounds like a prick. If your boss knows you got the job to help pay for college classes, your boss might have cut back your hours so you quit school.

Shove an umbrella in his asshole and open it.

I feel you, OP. My boss used to try and schedule me before my classes got out, then got pissed even after I explained why I couldn't work that early.
