Today, my boss called me into his office and bitched me out for a good half hour for my attitude to our customers. Apparently I always look pissed off and sound sarcastic. That's just my face at rest. FML

I know exactly what you mean.

yes, OP, that happens...unfortunately, we tend to be unaware about how our face looks atm, and ppl just ask if you're pissed or if something is wrong when you are feeling OK...it is pretty annoying.

Ehhh I know what you mean. People tell me I look like a half dead possum when I don't smile.

Kristen Stewart, is that you?

I have the exact opposite reaction from people. My nursing instructor gave me a review that said "you are unusually cheerful and chatty, it seems nervous". Apparently there is no happy medium.

You have the right to have any facial expression you want. I used to have a pissed off expression all the time but then my mom made me stop that. People just can't smile all day long or act happy all the tine.

oh my god same hereee. so annoying.

I know that one lol

Perhaps it's time to get out of the service industry.

I can relate, OP. What's worse is when people come up to you and ask why you're angry or tell you to smile more. I mean, I was perfectly content until he or she came up and started complaining.

That happens to me all the time. It drives me crazy. I just tell them i'm always smiling...in the inside. It just doesn't naturally comes out in my normal expression.

I have the same problem. I spent 16 years in the grocery biz, and sometimes I'd get asked why I always looked mad, when I was in a good mood. I had no idea I was doing that.

I always have to have a smile on my face or people think I'm pissed off.
