Today, my best friend told me I'm the friend who no one really likes. This was after I had bought her lunch, ice cream, and a ticket to a movie we were going to see that day. FML

Today, my best friend told me that she is only my friend because she is prettier than me and being my friend boost her confidence. FML
Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML
Today, I broke ties with a friend of mine. She said I was her only friend and asked me not to interact with others normally. I'd had enough, and asked her not to bother me again. Then I found out that everyone liked her better and left me alone for lunch, even though she's a gaslighter. FML
Today, my best friend got drunk and told me he's only friends with me because no one else will be friends with him. He then went on to tell me that he wasn't actually that drunk. FML
Today, at work, I was told I was a failure. Feeling like crap, I went to my best friend to see if he could make me laugh. He told me that he felt obligated to hang out with me, so he thought that we shouldn't anymore. FML
Today, my best friend confessed to me that she's a lesbian. She quickly added, "Oh, don't worry, I don't like you. You're not attractive." FML
Today, I went to the movies with a girl I like, then we went to grab a bite afterwards. She spent most of the time telling me how much she dislikes my best friend because he hooked up with a new girl. I then found out the two had been "talking" for a while. FML
Today, I saw my friends talking about plans for later during lunch. I walked over and asked for the plan. My best friend of 12 years gently took me aside, and said "You know that person in each group of friends that is only around to be made fun of? That's you." I just got dumped by my friends. FML
Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and nine other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. I don't know what's worse, the fact that I wasn't invited or that none of them even remembered that I worked there. FML
Today, I found out that the person who I considered my best friend actually hates my guts. FML

Many people just suck at communicating and rarely/never SAY what they MEAN. "It's not a big deal if we don't hang out. In fact, it's a bigger deal that you haven't said this because every second you continue the charade is a waste of my ******* time."

The question is, though... was she being honest because she thought the OP should know, or was she being honest because she actually ISN'T the OP's friend, and was just yanking her along this whole time? Good friends use tact and compassion. Outright stating that the OP is the friend no one likes is just plain mean and doesn't help at all. WHY is she that friend? Is there something she could be doing differently? Saying, "We need to talk about (insert issue)" is a lot more helpful and kinder than saying, "By the way, no one likes you."
