Today, my AP teacher once again accused me of plagiarism. Apparently the words "demise," "ultimately," and "rural," are too sophisticated for an 11th grade AP student to use and MUST have been copied from the Internet. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I turned in an overdue English assignment at college. My instructor accused me of plagiarism, writing that my sentence structure was "TO" good. Seriously? FML
Today, I got cited for "internet plagiarism" and called to the dean's office. I'd been sitting a closed-book written exam, and my teacher had been breathing down my neck the whole time. FML
Today, at school, I got in trouble for plagiarizing on a paper. The subject of said paper was where I see myself in ten years. FML
Today, my teacher called a friend and me out of class and told us we had been reported for plagiarism because our answers to a problem were nearly identical, and he said that I shouldn't have shared my work. This for an assignment where significant marks were awarded for collaborating with peers. FML
Not how it works...
Today, my classmate told me she can copy an article from the internet and hand that in, as long as she cites it at the end. FML
Do your own research
Today, I got yelled at for 10 minutes by my head of department for failing one of my students for plagiarism, because, "we can't be sure." It was my work he plagiarised, but because it's not in our system, it doesn't count. FML
Occam's razor
Today, I got an A+ on a writing assignment. My teacher asked me three times if I really did write this article myself, and didn't memorise an article from the Internet. FML
Quite the accusation
Today, I got a paper back that was given a zero for suspected plagiarism. Everything I wrote was my own thought and analysis. My instructor basically thinks my paper is smarter than I am. He won't listen, even when I explain my thought processes throughout the piece. FML
Notebooks out, plagiarists!
Today, I collected my students' final essays. One of them submitted a printout of a screenshot he took with his phone. Too bad a browser address bar was still in the shot, along with a "click to read more" link at the bottom. My students are too dumb and lazy to even plagiarize properly. FML
There's always someone with a big nose who knows
Today, I failed an assignment because the person I paid to do it plagiarized the entire thing. FML

Ultimately, your rural demise is imminent.

Jokes on them; if you're telling the truth then you're clearly more intelligent than they think you could be, good for you!

Your teacher is, to put it bluntly, STUPID. I was using words like that when I was in 9th grade! Words like the ones you mentioned were considered basic level words in my AP English Language class when I was in 11th (I'm a college sophomore now).

Your teacher probably doesn't even know what a thesaurus is, they might think it's a dinosaur...they should fire your teacher and let you teach the class!

I'm gonna have to side with the teacher. There's no way an 11th grade AP student could spell plagiarism correctly!!!

Those words are actually very simple, and I'm sure everyone knows them, even people whose first language isn't English. Which leads me to the conclusion that either the reason you were accused of plagiarism was something else, but you don't want to admit it to yourself, or your teacher is a paranoid idiot. In my experience, I'd say it's the former.

Wow, really? I was using those words in 5th grade. I could spell "mustache" correctly in 2nd grade too. Your teacher should not be teaching an AP class if you're more advanced than her.

AP stands for Advanced Placement for those who don't know, the classes give students a chance for college credits while still in highschool.

Your teacher is a twat, OP. He/She has no grounds to make such assumptions.
