Not how it works...

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I got an A+ on a writing assignment. My teacher asked me three times if I really did write this article myself, and didn't memorise an article from the Internet. FML
Today, after having too many projects for end of term, I asked to borrow my sister's paper that she used for the same class last year. After submitting it online, I found the example paper that the teacher handed out. My teacher used my sister's paper from last year as an example for us. FML
Today, I got cited for "internet plagiarism" and called to the dean's office. I'd been sitting a closed-book written exam, and my teacher had been breathing down my neck the whole time. FML
Today, I finished my position paper for my social studies class and read it to my mom to get her opinion on it. After I'm done reading it, she asks me if I copied it from somewhere because it sounded very professional and smart, and it didn't sound like me. FML
Today, I turned in my homework. Too bad I accidentally handed in the printed answer sheet I found online to copy from. FML
Today, after extensively researching how to properly use in text citations out of fear of my professor reporting me for citing my quotes incorrectly. She reported me instead for forgetting quotation marks on three of my proudly and properly cited quotes. FML
Today, my AP teacher once again accused me of plagiarism. Apparently the words "demise," "ultimately," and "rural," are too sophisticated for an 11th grade AP student to use and MUST have been copied from the Internet. FML
Today, I collected my students' final essays. One of them submitted a printout of a screenshot he took with his phone. Too bad a browser address bar was still in the shot, along with a "click to read more" link at the bottom. My students are too dumb and lazy to even plagiarize properly. FML
Today, I turned in an overdue English assignment at college. My instructor accused me of plagiarism, writing that my sentence structure was "TO" good. Seriously? FML
Today, my teacher called a friend and me out of class and told us we had been reported for plagiarism because our answers to a problem were nearly identical, and he said that I shouldn't have shared my work. This for an assignment where significant marks were awarded for collaborating with peers. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

To be fair she could, she'd fail, but she could do that.

And get a F if not a disciplinary hearing as a result

Nah, as long as its cited its not outright dishonest, just lazy, i used to do something like this all the time for bs papers in gen-eds. just lookup an article that answered whatever garbage they were wanting a paper on, re-write it in my own words in almost the same format, and cite it at the end. Only one teacher ever caught it, and told me to just add some other info from some other sources and gave me an A.

Actually she has a point, to a degree. If it's a major paper then she's gonna fail, but if it's just a small requirement that requires a source then depending on the teacher she might be good.

Then why bother reading or commenting?

I'm pretty sure OP isn't going to lose sleep over that

and it's an FML because it's true and you've been working hard to get the C's while she used her method to get B+ ?

She could and maybe even get a passing grade this time. Next time, the instructor will have the foresight to put a limit on sourced material.

Yes, she can and the teacher can then give her a fail!

So is this a group project that involved you? Otherwise I'm not sure why it's your FML, unless this is a general "bemoan the stupidity of the world" kind.

Let's just hope that you never have to do any group work with her.

My guess is that she won't be your classmate for long lol
