Today, I collected my students' final essays. One of them submitted a printout of a screenshot he took with his phone. Too bad a browser address bar was still in the shot, along with a "click to read more" link at the bottom. My students are too dumb and lazy to even plagiarize properly. FML

Today, my classmate told me she can copy an article from the internet and hand that in, as long as she cites it at the end. FML
Today, a student turned in homework she copied off an online answer key. The wrong key. My students are too stupid to cheat right. FML
Today, I turned in my homework. Too bad I accidentally handed in the printed answer sheet I found online to copy from. FML
Today, I handed in an internship assignment that I have been working on for months. Once submitted, a pop-up showed, stating the assignment was 100% plagiarized. What was it plagiarized from? A student paper. My own, to be more specific - the exact same paper I had uploaded seconds before. FML
Today, I'm grading final projects for a junior level college class. A student finally turned in their work, after months of encouragement and coaxing. Half of it was plain wrong, the rest had so many spelling and grammatical mistakes, it appeared to be written by a drunk autocorrect program. FML
Today, my AP teacher once again accused me of plagiarism. Apparently the words "demise," "ultimately," and "rural," are too sophisticated for an 11th grade AP student to use and MUST have been copied from the Internet. FML
Today, I wrote the most beautiful college application essay ever, ten minutes before the online deadline. Instead of clicking "submit", I clicked the button next to it that said "return". The entire essay vanished into internet wasteland. FML
Today, after finishing a huge French essay, I realized my printer wasn't working. So, I emailed it to a guy in my class to print and then give to me. When I get to French, he said he had already turned his in early and never got my email. It turned out he used mine. I got an F on the essay. FML
Today, I met up with my group for class. We were doing some final checks on the project we've been working on all semester, when I realized something about one guy's work seemed off. I googled it and found out it's almost completely plagiarized. It's all due in the morning. FML
Today, I found out why my history grade is so low: the kid in front of me takes my homework, writes his name on it, and passes it off as his own. FML

I wouldn't send him a job application for anything. Jobs are scarce and precious in this economy. Most young people in need of money would KILL to work in food service. This jackass would waste his manager's time just like he's wasting his teacher's time. There's nothing at all wrong with a decent food service job. I hate hearing those jobs being put down.

It's actually not that simple. Plagiarism needs to be reported to the dean of the college and the student could potentially fail the class. That's how it is at my college at least.

It sounds to me more like a high school student did this. In high school, they'd give you a slap on the wrist and only tell you what your punishment COULD be if it were an offense in college.

No plague needed. Every time you go to the store, remove a few safety stickers. You know, the ones that say things like "Do not iron clothes while wearing" and the ones on knives that tell you not to stick them in your body...the blow dryers that warn you not to use them in the bathtub... The problem should sort itself out fairly quickly if enough people do that.

What an idiot. Challenge for you to get students like that enthusiastic and motivated so they want to do the work and write .. Good luck! If you're looking for some inspiration I think coursera has quote a few free courses on education and in general coursera professors are really good.
