Today, my AP government teacher moved our seats and of course, I was seated next to my ex who has harassed me ever since our breakup. When I asked the teacher after class if I could please have a seat change, she told me I would have to write a 3-page essay on why I made the request. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, a girl in my class threw a temper tantrum. Why? Because she wanted my seat. We're in high school. FML
Today, I found out that my classmates hate me so much that they have a seating arrangement where people have to sit next to me on a rotating basis. A fight broke out yesterday because someone tried to skip their turn. FML
Today, while on the bus, I found out the seat I'd taken was the preferred spot of a very hostile and extremely overweight freshman. Instead of letting me find different place to sit, she half sat on me, and completely ignored my attempts to dislodge myself all the way to school. FML
Today, I asked my teacher if he could tutor me for my upcoming exam. He said he'd look into it and let me know later. I later got called to the principal's office because my teacher claimed I'd propositioned him for sex. FML
Today, at my art school, during the class my teacher left the classroom. I stood up from my seat to ask my friend something. When I sat back down, one of my guy classmates was sitting there. I sat on his lap and right at that moment my teacher came back. FML
Today, I got an e-mail from my seminar tutor asking why I wasn't in class. I was sitting next to him. FML
Today, it's my first day of high school. It's also my first day of a three-day in-school suspension. The reason? I sat next to a girl and she immediately got up and told the teacher that she didn't "feel safe". FML
Today, I had to show a new student around my school. Normally, that wouldn't be such a bad thing, but the student was my crazy, overly-attached ex. I transferred schools to get away from her in the first place. FML
Today, I was in class just taking notes and minding my own business. The teacher has already called my parents twice complaining about me. As we are taking 3 pages of notes she grabs mine and rips them up, saying that she is sick and tired of me drawing. I was drawing the graphs on the board. FML
Today, I, a person who has graduated high school, encountered one of my high school teachers in public. The one known for her rampant ableism against me and tendency to get heated when people don't respond immediately to her when she talks. I've had horrible social anxiety for several years. Do the math. FML

If you explain the situation and the teacher still doesn't make the change then go above them and go to an principal. There is no reason you should have to feel harassed in school

If your teacher won't help you then maybe go to a higher up, OP. Teacher's can be assholes for no reason. Or just write a damn good essay.

That really sucks, but if she's been harassing you that much it shouldn't be hard to knock out a few pages about it. Good chance to expose their craziness and maybe get yourself some help with the situation.

When did they care before? If we were bullied or harrassed as kids we had to deal with it ourselves. Seating assignments were set in stone, and a bad breakup was no reason for a move.

Another good reason to become a teacher. To actually care about the students, stand up for those being builled, especially when they come to you with it, and to never, ever tolerate it.

"Jim and I have been dating for 3 1/2 years. Two weeks ago, he broke up with me claiming that I am not holding up my 'duties' as a girlfriend. Ever since the day we broke up he has been constantly harassing me. Jim will follow me around school until I reach my class, lunch room, or library. He will make clicking noises as I walk. When I pass others in the hall, he will point to me and simply say 'prude walking'. While in class trying to study, he will lean over to me and say thing such as: have you decided to do the right thing yet? Or ready to be a real girlfriend for once? Jim has also resorted to petty name calling, and woman shaming. It is for these reason that I humbly request that I not be seated next to Jim for the duration of class that I share with him.
