Today, my 4-year-old twin boys are fighting because they both want to watch the SAME show on Netflix. They don't want the other one to choose, because somehow that invalidates their own choice, even though they both get to watch what they want, which is "Barbie, life in the dream house". FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Attachment issues
Today, I'm stuck in a nightmare where one of my young twins is fixated on spending as much time with her sibling as possible, while the other one is a complete introvert who wants her sister to leave her alone as much as possible. Either way, someone is upset and crying, mostly me. FML
Battleground
Today, my son wants to go to Norway for our holiday and my husband wants to go to Disneyland, so of course they decide they can only choose by having a Nerf battle through the entire house. Meanwhile, I seem to be the only one taking anything seriously. This is why I despair of both of them. FML
Today, my six-year-old got in an argument with my four-year-old. I told them to go outside. The next thing I know, my son was standing in front of his sister's burning Barbie's Malibu Dream House, singing "Burn Baby Burn" and cackling madly. FML
All you need is hate
Today, I told both my boyfriend and my son that they needed to start spending more time together. They both asked why and what they did that I feel the need to punish them. They’re so similar, even I forget they’re not father and son, and yet for some reason they hate each other. FML
Today, my two sons were fighting. I had to shout, "Give me that pillow" - the object over which they were quarrelling - and put them into two separate rooms. My sons are 12 and 15. FML
Family bliss
Today, and most nights, my 17 year-old twins scream and shout while playing Fortnite. I asked if they could kindly not tonight, as I was tired and needed sleep. One told me I couldn't tell him to get off, he's allowed to play. I turned the WiFi off, which ended up with the other screaming and swearing how unfair i was. Now I can't sleep. FML
Today, I explained to my 5 year old daughter that her older sister from my husband's first marriage lives with her mommy, and my daughter lives with us. She exclaimed, "It's not fair! I want two mommies like she has! Can we swap, I like her mommy better than you anyway!" FML
No boundaries
Today, my parents and in-laws let my 4 year-old watch as much TV as he wants. Not cartoons but brain-rot and weird stuff on YouTube. Let him skip naps. Feed him primarily junk food, and sweets. They don't respect his 8 pm bedtime and let him play until 12 am or later. Then they wonder why I don't visit more often. FML
Today, my 5 year-old informed me she likes her "other mummy" more and wants to live with her instead. I need to have a long conversation with my husband. FML
Family days
Today, I don't know why I bothered taking my family to the beach. All my wife wants to do is shop at the same crappy cheap chains she always goes to, and all my son wants to do is watch cartoons. Whenever I suggest anything different, they both throw tantrums. FML

I think it's good that they want to watch that. It shows that they aren't conforming to stereotypes and aren't afraid to express themselves. But fighting over it... That's adorable! But I guess FYL for having to sort it out....

How could this not be sweet and put a smile on a parents face?! I'm a twin and I'm now a mother so I know how they feel, but it's just precious remembering being that age and hating feeling like my sister always won. It will be over in a blink of an eye!

I will admit that it is cute that they haven't fallen into the lie of things being gender restricted yet. I also pity you because, man, do kids ever have some lungs on them once they start yelling. I'd probably take the remote and make them watch something else first, then put it on the Barbie show, but I haven't been around anyone under the age of 15 in... Six years or something like that.

Barbie was created to girls. this FML is about fighting, not your new age hippie "progressive" shit

It's actually pretty funny. It has some adult humor hidden in. It's one thing I don't mind watching with my daughter because we both find it funny.

Teach them the fine art of Rock Paper Scissors to decide who gets to pick the next show.

Tell them you're choosing and then just play the movie they wanted anyway

You're the parent. You choose it or turn off the tv.
