Today, it's my birthday. I asked everyone for iTunes money, pleased to finally be able to buy some new songs for my iPod. After receiving several gift cards, I discovered that my iPod had been stolen. FML

Today, I received a $50 iTunes card for my birthday. I immediately sat down at my computer and starting buying all my newest favorites. Then I realized I never redeemed my card so the $50 was all charged to my account. FML
Today, it was my birthday. I have been heavily hinting that I want an iPhone. I opened my present from my parents and found an iPhone box. Ecstatic, I quickly opened it. Apparently, my parents thought it would be funny to wrap my present, a $10 iTunes gift card, in the box my Dad's iPhone came in. FML
Today, it was my big sister's birthday, and I was told the iPod I ordered her online was not coming due to a mix up. I drove to three different electronic stores before I found the one she wanted. After spending forever in traffic, I came home to find a package on my doorstep. It was her iPod. FML
Today, my son surprised me on my birthday with tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. I was excited, especially since I planned to buy them but couldn't due to the fact it was too expensive. I was ecstatic, until I found out he'd stolen my credit card to buy them. FML
Today, I saw some random iTunes charge on my bank account so I called who I thought was iTunes customer support to figure out the $5 charge, then got scammed into buying $1,400 worth of gift cards. The man on the phone was not with iTunes and took all my money. FML
Today, I got a laptop for my birthday. I was thrilled until I realized that my mom had given away my old one without asking. 6 years of games, music, and pictures down the drain. FML
Today, I went to Walmart with all my birthday money, which I had in a wallet with my permit and everything else. I was sat on a bench looking for items for my iPod Touch However… I left my wallet behind. Turns out an old couple stole it. I got my shit jacked by grandparents. FML
Today, my brand new iPhone 4 was stolen from my bag. I asked the bartender if anyone had handed it in. I soon found out that while I was talking to her, someone swiped my wallet from the bag too. FML
Today, my girlfriend bought herself a brand new iPad and iPod Touch, and returned my aging iPod and Kindle, which she constantly steals for her own use. She considers it my Valentine's Day present. FML
Today, I had three things stolen: my phone, my iPod, and my girlfriend. All by the same guy. FML

Emmm... out here in the real world music is still free to download from peering/torrent programs and sites. I feel sorry for these poor countries where you have to pay for software and music and movies.

Let's put it this way: when I won't have to go to my mom to take money for food and gas, maybe I'll buy music. I've been working in IT for the last three years. Life is not that easy everywhere in the world. This year I only used my money for keeping my car in good condition to be able to go to work. So I go to work to repair my car to go to work... I was barely able to do anything for myself this year. Went to the seaside with something like 20$ for 4 days and slept in the car, because I had no money for a room. And all the bills and all my food are paid by my parents and still can't have enough money to do anything. I'm not starving or anything, but it's far from being normal. I have a salary of about 350 euros/month. About 100/month only the gas, I have 250€ left per month, or about 320$/month, without any more payments subtracted from it, like electricity, internet, TV, food, car maintenance & other stuff. So yeah, I couldn't care less about it.
