Today, I went to the doctors and was told I would need an inhaler. My mom came back from the pharmacy and told me the copay of $35 dollars was way too expensive, so she is making me use my cat's old inhaler. My mom values my cat's ability to breathe more then my own. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my mom I'm severely allergic to my cat and that the doctor told me it would be best to get rid of the cat. Somewhat jokingly, I told her it was either me or the cat. She chose the cat. She was serious too. FML
Today, my cat kept sneezing all morning so I took her to the vet. $150 later and the vet says she's fine. I get home and the noise starts up again. My automatic air freshener spray sounds just like my cat sneezing. FML
Today, I spat up blood and had horrible chest pain. My mom still made me go to school, claiming she needed to take the cat to the vet instead of taking me to the doctor. FML
Today, after recovering from pneumonia and a severe asthma attack caused by my dad's fiancée's cat, he chose to keep the cat. I can't go to his house without having to go to the hospital later. FML
You can't put a price on a cat
Today, I was nervous about taking my cat to the vet for a UTI, because money’s a little tight. Turns out the antibiotics weren’t that expensive, but he wants at least $1,000 for dental surgery she apparently “needs.” FML
Today, due to the heat, I had a deadly asthma attack. Where was my inhaler? My dad pawned it for beer money. What did my dad do about my attack? Told me to quit being a Drama Queen. I had to go across the street and beg for a ride to the ER from my neighbor. FML
Today, I decided to go thrifting to save some money. Ironically, I ended up having to pay for an emergency trip to the hospital because somebody was too lazy to wash the cat hair off their clothes. I'm severely allergic to cats. FML
Today, I forgot my inhaler. I had an asthma attack and had to go to the ER. The doctors told me it wasn't an asthma attack. It was just a panic attack from worrying about whether I would get an asthma attack. FML
Bottom line
Today, I had to put my cat to sleep after she was in an accident. While I was crying hysterically, the vet asked me for $230. FML
NOT NOW!
Today, while driving me to the hospital because I was having an asthma attack, my mother lit a cigarette. FML

I have a Mom who's like that to. One time I had this horrible headcold (that was contageous btw) and she still yelled at me for wanting to skip out on a week of karate practice practice, which would've been 3 lessons. She even had the nerve of laying a guilt trip on me for "wasting her money". It's $60 a month. She'd much rathor sacrifice my well being for $15. I feel ya.

If you're going to hate on someone's grammar, you may want to start with your own. Example: cats vs. cat's; one is plural, the other is possessive.

The "then"/"than" thing irks me. They're not really even pronounced the same!

So what? Buy your own inhaler. What are you, some lazy liberal socialist that depends on handouts? Make your own money and take care of yourself!

Don't be ignorant. Until a person is 18 years old, his or her parents are responsible to pay for anything to do with their health and wellness. You don't hear about kids paying for their own doctor's appointments do you? It's not free handouts in this situation, it's called taking care of your kids.

So what if the parents are 'responsible'? Clearly the mother is not being responsible in this case. OP: Go get a job if you want a non-cat inhaler. Additionally, I hope your mother realizes she will have to pay for refills. If not, all the more reason for you to get a job.

10 - really? What if OP is too young to work? Sounds like someone should be reported for child abuse.

Maby in ur country 8 year olds work but in the developed world that's illigal

And what if OP had an asthma attack while working? OP needs their inhaler before they can work...you know, as a safety precaution....
