Today, I was trying to apply some toothpaste on my pimple to help dry it out. My mum came from behind and hugged me, making me accidentally apply minty toothpaste into my right eye instead. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, while brushing my teeth, I applied the toothpaste to my toothbrush when a few bristles got caught on the lip of the tube and flung a glob of toothpaste into my eye. My eye is now bloodshot, but at least it's minty fresh. FML
Today, I was brushing my teeth in a rush before work. I squeezed the toothpaste tube too hard, and some of it it shot directly into my eye. I spent the next ten minutes half-blind, crying peppermint tears, and still somehow managed to be late. FML
Today, while brushing my teeth half asleep, I stabbed myself in the eye with my toothbrush, toothpaste included. FML
Today, I woke up to find that not only did the toothpaste I put on my pimple make it more noticable, but it made it worse. FML
Today, I was brushing my teeth in my bathroom. As I looked in the mirror, I spotted a zit on my forehead. Keeping my toothbrush in my mouth, I quickly leaned in towards the mirror to pop the pimple, meanwhile lodging my toothbrush down my throat. I temporarily can't talk. FML
Today, whilst brushing my teeth, I fell asleep, poking myself in the eye with my toothbrush. FML
Today, I was washing my face and I started rinsing the soap off my face with my eyes closed when I felt something gooey on my face. I opened my eyes to realize I had been rubbing snot on my face from when water got up my nose and apparently snot came down with it. FML
Today, I popped a zit and I went to put my acne medicine on it. It's in a clear bottle with a blue cap, just like the nearby nailpolish remover. I grabbed the wrong one. FML
Today, I noticed a strange mark on the inside of my mouthwash bottle. As I was bending down to investigate, my hands tightened around the bottle and mouthwash squirted in my eye. It still burns. FML
Today, I sneezed while brushing my teeth and ended up with toothpaste in my eye. I haven't been able to see clearly for two hours. FML

For those saying that toothpaste doesn't work on zits...it does work, as long as it's a baking soda based toothpaste. Others will simply irritate the skin, but a baking sida one dries the zit out nicely.

Why not use just plain baking soda and water, then? It does work. You're right, it is the baking soda that apparently works to dry up a pimple. But, the chemicals in the toothpaste (even the baking soda ones have the chemicals in them) will not help your acne problem. In the long run (sometimes even within a week) it will make the issue worse.

That doesn't make me full of myself. Learn the meaning of the phrase. I can only tell you what works and what doesn't (using well known facts provided by a dermatologist). It's your choice to either listen and try something else, or not. I don't care.

182 - You're the rude one. Take it easy. You've stated your side numerous times and we all get it. If people still want to put toothpaste on their face, let them. All these chemicals you're talking about are harmless. If their skin gets dried out, they'll stop. Just mellow out and everything will be OK.

All I'm doing is regurgitating what my dermatologist has told me. I'm just saying what will happen; she told me that it should have relatively the same effect for everyone. I'm not saying "do this, not that", I'm saying that this is what she told me, and that's that. They have the choice to either think about it and heed the advice, or not. It's not 'mindlessly' if I've gone out to test it myself. I know a few people personally that go to the same dermatologist, and they've all found the same thing. It's not a case where it works for half but doesn't work for the other, from what I've seen. Actually, regurgitating facts is not rude. Calling a person a 'bitch' and freaking out on them, is. Where did I call them stupid? They are ignorant if they resort to name calling. Why are you still commenting on this? Sheesh.

That sucks.. btw i have a trick that works way better! put a aspirine on a little plate and add one spoon of water.. wait until it desolves and then put it on your pimple! The medicine inside the aspirine will fight the infection (every pimple is concidered a tiny tiny infection).. try it.. it works:)..
