Today, I was quite drunk so I decided to take a piss kneeling down, so I wouldn't miss. I dropped the toilet seat on my little soldier. FML

The euphemism 'little soldier' is widespread throughout Europe. Hundreds of millions of people use the phrase, regardless of how weird it might seem to someone meeting it for the first time. Presumably it's because he stands to attention. But to those who suggest peeing in the shower, please don't. You'll make the place stink like a wharfies piss-corner. If you do it, other people will do it. You may be happy to stand in other people's piss. But while the urine of a healthy person is sterile, you're taking a lot on trust that everyone whose piss you're standing in was healthy. That's the way millions of people caught millions of life-threatening illnesses. And since urine is a bacterial smorgasbord, it doesn't stay sterile for long. Sure, the water will dilute it, but it won't disinfect it. It will stink out your home, and because its based on your bodily wastes, you'll be the last person to know about the stench.

Umm. No. If the shower was running while someone was peeing into the urine would wash away too quick for it to smell for long. Unlike in a toilet where it hits where the water doesn't go and sits creating a the piss stench toilets permanently have. Urine starts to stink the longer it is exposed to the air and the bacteria in it is allowed to grow.

Or you could wash you shower/tub on a regular basis if you're that worried about bacteria and odors. Bacteria (and mold) are going to grow in your shower regardless of whether or not you pee in it.

Interesting call. When most guys are too drunk to stand and pee, they put the seat down and sit. I can't honestly say it's ever occurred to me to pee kneeling down.
