Today, I was playing in a basketball game and blocked this kid's shot. I was really pumped up about it until I realized the kid had cerebral palsy and the coach put him on the team because he really wanted to be on at least one team in his life. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Useful
Today, I had a basketball game against our rivals. Since the starting guard had a broken ankle, I felt happy that I could finally get playing time and prove that I'm good. Instead I had to run the scoreboard for the game, because the scoreboard guy was absent. FML
Today, I was playing basketball in our company gym. I took a shot from half court, and at that exact moment, an executive walked into the gym with an important potential client. My shot bounced off the side of the backboard, off some bleachers, and right into the client's head. FML
Today, after playing on the same basketball team for eight years with the same coach, he kicked me off the team to make room for my younger brother, who I taught to play basketball in the first place. FML
Today, in basketball practice my coach was putting is in teams to run drills. He points to me and says, "You, go babysit my son by the stage." FML
Today, while playing badminton at school, I got an opponent who is mentally handicapped. Since I'm terrible at the game, I guess the teacher assumed it would be a good match. I won the match, my first victory ever. My teacher accused me of cheating to humiliate him. FML
Today, during a soccer game, some utter moron got the bright idea of trying to score a goal from his side of the field. I sarcastically made a big show of just barely stopping the ball, and nailed it off to the side. The ball hit a kid so hard in the head that he had to go to the hospital. FML
Harsh
Today, I made my school's soccer team. I told the coach that since I have diabetes, I might need to sit out occasionally. He promptly erased my name and said he didn't accept "slackers." FML
Benched
Today, my baseball team had a game and one of our best players was injured sliding into first. I'm pretty fast so when the coach called my name I grabbed a helmet assuming it was finally my chance to get in the game. Turns out he just wanted me to get ice. The entire team couldn't stop laughing. FML
Today, while playing basketball, my friend thanked me for passing the ball to him. I was too embarrassed to tell him that that was me shooting. FML
Smooth moves
Today, I was trying out for a local basketball team, so I put extra effort into showing off my baller skills. Unfortunately, I managed to hit myself in the face with the ball, knocking out one of my own teeth. FML

I don't think you should feel bad. I'd be pretty upset if I had a disability and everyone played easy on me. That would just be humiliating!

You shouldn't feel bad, you didn't know and I don't see how YDI at all. Plus, the kid was probably happy everyone wasn't just going to let him do whatever.

You got shitty luck. I mean, if I packed some kids shot, I'd be celebrating too. At least you treated him like he was normal. Don't deserve this at all D:

You don't deserve it, unlike the ratings on this site. How were you to know? Don't feel bad.

honestly I don't agree with those people who go suuuper easey obdusabked people, if I was disabled and EVERY tine a played baseball at gym I hit a home run I'd feel totaly humiliated!!! not meaning that u should go super hard but just average so u feel like a normal human being

That must suck so bad. If they want to be treated with respect putting them on a team isn't going to help it's just going to get more people laughing at them. I would haha.

no you should not treat the cerb palsy kid the same. Nobody else treats disabled people the same. We have handicapped parking, they get first in line at the amusement park even though they rest of us have to stand for 3 hours in the scorching heat to ride on some rollercoaster for 5 minutes, they get better benefits, etc etc. I want to park in front of the store knowing I have to buy a shitload of crap and dont feel like lugging it 5 miles down the parking lot to get back to my car in the rain. Sad thing is, if you're fat enough you can get a handicapped permit, how ******* ridiculous is that?

YDI because you can completely tell when someone has cerebral palsy. They look and act different from normal people. If you couldn't tell that this kid was disabled until after you blocked the shot then you must be retarded yourself.
