Today, I was looking at some comments on a silly YouTube video of me dancing with some friends. Someone posted a comment saying "Girl on the right is hot!!!." Next to that, it had about 31 thumbs down. I'm the girl on the right. FML

Today, I uploaded what I thought were beautiful selfies. One of my "friends" commented, "I've seen what your whole body looks like, so that's why you take only headshots. You're not fooling anybody, fatty." His comment got 18 likes. I took down the photos and spent the rest of my afternoon in tears. FML
Today, a photo of my friends and me was posted in our college group. I didn't notice my legs looked enormous until my friend pointed it out. Her comment got 50 likes. FML
Today, the only girl I'm friends with deleted my comment off of her profile because she was too embarrassed that people would see we were friends. FML
Today, I made a TikTok video in which you could clearly but accidentally see my nipples through my shirt. You can imagine some of the comments I've started getting. FML
Today, although I can't dance, I decided to go to a club. A really cute girl asked me to dance, and I politely declined. She kept insisting, so I finally said okay. A few minutes in, she stopped, looked at me, and said, "If you're going to make fun of my dancing, I'm leaving." FML
Today, I uploaded a new Facebook profile photo, which got over 20 likes in the space of an hour. The most I've ever gotten before was 10. Surprised, I went to check my picture again, only to notice two guys were sarcastically flipping me the bird in the background. FML
Today, my friend found a picture of herself on a website filled with pictures of thin people. I was in the picture, also. I was crossed-out with the word, "EWW" written next to me. FML
Today, I uploaded a photo of myself at the beach on Facebook. The first comment it got was "Wow!! If I was 20 yrs younger, oh boy ;)". Yeah, thanks for that, grandpa. FML
Today, my friend sent me a weird selfie in black and white. I sent one back, and she said I looked like an 80s porn star. It was funny, but then three of my friends had the same reaction. I didn't even look good in the picture. FML
Today, my wife showed me a video she took of me last night. I was shit-faced, dancing half naked to '90s club music in the middle of the street at midnight. She won't stop laughing at me and replaying the video. FML

I'm kind of curious to see the video, but don't take their rating too harshly... It's Youtube, and the internet, afterall. You can't take the internet too seriously. Besides, that's only 31 people out of 6,000,000,000 people in the world -- right?

YouTube comments are a breeding ground for the lowest scum humanity has to offer; I really wouldn't worry too much about what 31 fat acne-ridden 30 year-olds who live in their mom's basement think. Some people give thumbs down just to give thumbs down.

Actually, as someone who used to take interest in web traffic, I can tell you that at least 80% of youtube users are between the ages of 10-18, with the rest scattered, and especially with videogames, and just videos of teens messing around, unless the video is Very popular most of the viewers are going to be in their teens. Adults seem to have better things to do.

agreed. my first thought is that the guy's comment got thumbed down because it's slightly rude. realize that the rating on his comment is a direct reflection on him; it's no necessarily a reflection on the OP. if someone commented "i like Nazis" and got thumbed down, it means no one likes their comment, not that the origional content is bad.
