Today, I was happy because my exact shirt and sweater were in Seventeen Magazine. They were in the "What not to wear" category. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, there was a story called "Looking Good" about fashion in school that ran in the local newspaper. On the front page of that section it featured a picture of my class. I was photoshopped out. FML
Fashionista
Today, I got dressed in a hurry and grabbed what I though was a basic white shirt from the clean laundry pile. It wasn’t until I stepped into the elevator at work and saw myself in the mirror that I realized I was wearing one of my girlfriend’s shirt. It was snug, had a floral pattern, and made me look like I was trying too hard to be trendy. It was a long day. FML
Today, I wore what I thought was a hideous sweater from the thrift store for an ugly sweater contest. I've gotten more compliments on it than anything else I've ever worn. I can't even succeed at failure. FML
Today, my friends and I were going to do an ugly sweater photo shoot. When we met up, one of them was wearing a sweater I gave on her birthday. FML
Today, I saw my boyfriend for the first time in a while. When he came over we realized that we had not only gotten the same haircut, but we were also wearing the same sweater. We are a matching old couple at 17. FML
Today, I found out where a few of my favorite outfits went. My mother had taken them out of my closet, wrapped them, and given them to my cousin as a gift. FML
Past life
Today, I found an old notebook while clearing our house and started reading the embarrassing things I'd written as a teenager. One page had a detailed list of my future goals, including: “Never become the kind of person who owns 14 identical black shirts.” I was wearing one of them. FML
Today, I discovered that I can fit back into the clothes I wore in High School. I was proud of this until my husband told me that I look like a stuffed sausage in them. FML
Today, the "My body is beautiful" t-shirt that my therapist gave me didn't fit. FML
Lucky or what?
Today, I put on what I thought was my "lucky" sweater for a job interview. Halfway there, I noticed my reflection in a car window and realized it was covered in cat hairs of various colors and a faded spaghetti stain from last week that apparently hadn't come out in the wash. FML

I agree with #3. It shouldn't matter what you wear, and if it does, you've got some serious life problems ahead of ya.

#7, I just wanted to let you know the irony of you not knowing how to spell "retarded" was not overlooked. And to the OP, serves you right for reading that trash anyway.

#7 ~ Not everyone has the same body type. So even if the shape didn't suit whoever was wearing it in the magazine, that doesn't mean it wouldn't suit anyone. *retarded OP ~ Don't pay attention to that trash. If you like it, wear it!

Uh... Yeah, body type. Those darn models with two legs and arms look so weird. How about burn the worthless fashion magazines. They only tell you to buy more garbage. How about you ignore their marketing and you decide what you like and not like all on your own,,, you know,,, like an adult. (I agree with the last part of your comment)

on the other hand, many teenage girls swear by this magazine, and follow it religiously, so whenever she wears this outfit she will probably be mocked. behind her back, if not to her face.

#15 is right. Seventeen magazine blows. You're wasting your money if you have a subscription.

I was once mad when I saw one of my favorite shirts in that magazine a few months after I got it cause then everyone else would be buying it x(. And sure enough, now every time I wear it people are like "OMG I have that shirt too!!" Yeah, but I got it to be unique. Ugh.

#14, I don't know any girl that follows seventeen "religiously." What the hell are you talking about? I don't see any girls even wear the outfits that those magazines portray.

14, maybe because you don't know every single teenage girl. There's a reason the magazine still exists.

i read that things should match and then a couple of years later, not matching was in....trends change but people are unique b/c they are different and have their own style...just rock your style and don't let that change how you dress...to live up to media standards...if you like it, that's all that matters...i mean its all relative anyway...what is "in?"
