Today, I've been dieting and working out trying to work towards some solid abs because I know my girlfriend digs that stuff. I've been miserable trying to achieve this goal, plus to make things even better while kissing today she grabbed my stomach and said "I just love your abs of... flab." FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my girlfriend put her hand on my abs and confessed that she was glad I'd secretly started working out. I couldn't bring myself to admit that I've been constipated for three weeks. FML
Today, my boyfriend grabbed my love handles. It tickled, so I giggled and squirmed out of his grip. He looked at me quizzically and said, "I'm surprised you still have feeling there with all that fat." FML
Today, while in bed, my boyfriend pointed to my stomach and said, "Bad fat", then pointed to my boobs and said, "Good fat." FML
Today, my boyfriend of a year and a half informed me that he had "accepted" my stomach, even though it didn't conform to his "preference" for a flat stomach. He then added that his acceptance doesn't extend to my "chunky thighs". FML
Today, while lying in bed with my girlfriend, she was grabbing the fat on my stomach. I said to her, "Quit touching my fat!" She replied, "So… don't touch you at all?" FML
Today, after much dieting and exercise, I can proudly say that my love handles are now bigger than my ass. FML
Today, the whole time my husband and I had sex, my stomach flab violently slapped my thighs. The harder he pumped, the louder the slapping got. Time to lose some weight. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me because I've recently become serious about getting fit, and have lost nearly 84 pounds. Apparently, when I was fat, I made her look smaller in comparison. When I got slimmer, she insisted I either gain the weight back or she'd leave. So she did. FML
Today, my girlfriend felt bad about a rude comment she made to me, and asked me to insult her in return. I told her she was getting fat. Wrong move; now she's not speaking to me. FML
Today, my boyfriend encouragingly told me that he could tell I was losing weight, all because I had one roll fewer than usual on my stomach. FML

Dude, abs aren't an easy thing to achieve. They can take years. Be glad your girlfriend was at least trying to be nice. And if youre miserable trying to get them, then don't bother anymore. Your girlfriend should still like you regardless of your flabyness.

dude, ydi for trying to change for someone else, and not for your self. it takes time to become fit. if she wanted someone with abs, she should have dated a guy with abs. my wife has small ****. I will never ask her to get a surgery. I bought them small, so they can stay small. same goes for your abs.

haha aw. that just means she loves you as you are, op. good for you for trying to get fit though, no harm in that for sure. plus i think that even someone's into something, that doesn't mean we might not be into the opposite either, you know? i love ocean blue eyes but deep liquid caramel is beautiful too, so is blazing green, etc... and sculpted abs are hot but there's also something terrifically pleasing about a fuller curvier figure too. i think the real point is that she loves you regardless :)
