Today, I took my daughter out driving to practice for her road test. I told her to make a left into a parking lot. She missed the 30-foot wide entrance, but not the two-foot wide tree. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I took my 15 year-old daughter driving. I yelled at her for not going safely around corners. On the way home, while demonstrating how to drive right, I went around a corner and hit a cement truck. FML
Put it in park
Today, I’m learning to drive and finally felt confident enough to park in a tight spot with my instructor watching. I nailed the angle perfectly, but when I tried to get out, I realized I'd parked so close to the line that I couldn’t open the door. I had to climb out of the passenger side while my instructor pretended not to laugh. FML
Failed
Today, I took my driving test. Completing the test, we returned and parked at the testing facility. As my tester was complimenting me, I leaned down to wind my window up, catching my long hair in the window. Frantically thrashing, I put the car in drive and floored it into a concrete wall. FML
Today, I drove 45 minutes to take my full driver's test. At the end of the test, the instructor told me I'd done everything perfectly, but had failed before I left the parking lot. I didn't see the "one way" sign at the entrance. FML
Abort test! Abort test!
Today, I took my driving test. I had pulled out of my three point turn in a neighborhood and started driving again, thinking something wasn't quite right. The lady testing me looked over at me and said, "Sweetie, you're driving on the wrong side of the road." FML
2 fast, 2 braincells
Today, I was in a parking lot, doing donuts in my dad's car to rizz some baddies. It was going great until some dumbass got in the way and got launched twenty feet. I panicked, lost control of the car, and smashed into a decorative tree. FML
Today, I was teaching my daughter how to drive. We were passing by a merge lane; I told her to slow down and let a green car merge in front of us. She said, "Fuck the green car" and sped up, colliding with it. Apparently she didn't know that would happen. FML
Today, I took my driving test. I was nervous, but I thought I followed the rules of the road pretty well. My tester ended up failing me for "backing out too slowly". FML
Today, I was nervous as hell for my driving test. The instructor told me to drive a straight line in reverse. I forgot to put the car in reverse from drive and drove straight into a parked vehicle. Which happened to be owned by the instructor. FML
Brake check
Today, I was taking my driving test and everything was going perfectly. As I pulled back into the testing center, I smiled because I knew I'd passed. Then I got out of the car without pulling the handbrake. The examiner had to jump back in and hit the brakes before it rolled into an actual parked car. FML

Yup...that's what she was doing...

Her comment is edited. My comment above makes no sense now because of it.

I can vouch for ya...all it said was "driving" originally.

#29. I cannot be the one to judge the edit. I only posted my second comment because my original one wasn't far off being buried. People deserve to know the truth.

Sorry about your car OP. Practice makes perfect. Can't blame her for being a beginner. Good luck next time!^^ Start with the smaller things first.

#94 Uhh.. yeah you can... she could at least read some other comments first and get an idea about what is actually relevant...

Maybe next time dad should take her out...
azelk 8
He did.
ruckfules85 34
maybe he meant other dad take her
pharm121 21
There is no indication stating that....

it is pretty clear that she drives like her mother.

there's a male symbol in the corner, I don't think it appears on all versions of the app, though

Why should it matter if mum or dad takes them out? I preferred when my brother took me out, my sister was rude and would distract me, my mum would scream at everything (she drives into everything on her own) especially junctions, and my dad would complain and put his leg and jacket over the gearstick. So glad I passed and no longer have to listen to them when driving.

Not going to lie. It hurt a lot when she hit me.

im going out on a limb here, but i hope it didnt leaf you in too much agony

Why don't we just branch out and look at how the tree felt and thought?
Just_A_Tree 20
My thoughts before the accident were: "Damn... I really hope I'm not turned into a Justin Bieber notebook after I'm cut down..." And afterwards, my thoughts were: "I hope your punishment is that you have to drive a moped, while wearing a 'My Little Pony' helmet for the rest of High School..."
Just_A_Tree 20
Oh, and my feelings were a bit twigged and even a little sympathetic for the young driver. I think the root of her problem is nervousness. And I think she wood need some more practice before planting herself in a car for a test.

#42 I bet you've been waiting all this time just for an FML involving a tree just so you can make these posts :)

It's my time to blossom
supersquirel500 10
hopefully insurance will cover that
Liamj774 36
Unfortunately insurance doesn't cover stupidity
Emirac 10
Um, yes it does. It's called "collision and comprehensive". If insurance only covered OTHER drivers' mistakes, how would you ever get your own accidents taken care of?
sorryheadphones 26
Practice makes perfect. Just more practice is needed, much more. Good luck to you

In the meantime lets just keep everyone else off the roads.

Let's get the trees some insurance too

Does your daughter happen to be Tina Belcher?

That's kind of creepy

Naw, Tina would have left a note

Did she damage the trunk ?
wanted_2_want 40
Good one #11, but by OP's description I'm pretty sure that his daughter damaged "the trunk" AND the "hood".... Get it?
CrAzYELF4 26
At least you tried #55.
MrCareless 17
Practice is indeed needed, give it some time and she will surprise you, too bad for the car but shit happens :)
onlychildFTW 34
I would banish her from driving until she got her own car personally. 2 cars colliding is one thing; hitting a stationary object? Seriously??? I drove at 11 and didn't hit anything.
MrCareless 17
Not everybody is the same, I believe that OP should give her some time to practise, and by not lending your car out to your children you don't show any trust in their capabilities which will ruin their confidence and they will become worse drivers
Khaleesi_26 30
That really sucks OP, but as a young driver also learning, it can sometimes be stressfull when you've never had much experience. She will get better, goodluck!
