Today, I taught my 12-year-old brothers that showering cannot be used as a substitute for deodorant, and that they should use both. One of them was almost in tears. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my brother's refused to shower after 2 weeks of dripping sweat and never changing clothes. He claims the smell is just his "manly musk" and if I can't handle it, then maybe I'm the problem. FML
Today, I had to inform my roommate that dry shampoo, deodorant, and perfume are not the same as a shower. It's been two weeks. FML
Today, I actually had to teach my 9-year-old brother how to pour himself a glass of milk, after he burst out in tears when my sister told him to do it himself. His astonishing ignorance also extends to basic hygiene. FML
Hot and heavy
Today, it’s extremely hot, so showering and deodorant does fuck all for my odor. I thought I could get away with having my arms pressed to my sides at all times, but instead, a boy I don’t even know physically lifted my arms above my head and loudly declared that I stank. FML
Today, my five-year-old son told me that I smell bad and asked me to take a shower so I wouldn't attract bugs into the house. I had just showered. FML
Smash the patriarchy
Today, I explained to my teenage daughter that enough was enough and she needed to start shaving her armpits again, stating it was unladylike and unsanitary. Her only response was, "If it's so unsanitary, why don't you make my brother do it?" I give up. FML
Stinky
Today, while applying deodorant, my mom came up behind me slapped the stick out of my hand, and confiscated it, saying, “No one needs deodorant when it’s this cold.” At work, I got so many complaints about my B.O that I was sent home to go take a shower. I shower every single day. FML
Today, I had to use anti-perspirant deodorant under my breasts. FML
Ah, those were the times…
Today, my 19-year-old brother subjected me to yet another rant about how the writers of My Little Pony aren't writing the show for people like him any more, the "true fans", otherwise known as pimply-faced adults who don't use deodorant and only shower once a week. FML
Today, my boyfriend announced he has stopped wearing deodorant because he thinks his BO smells "manly." FML

Usually you would have to tell them that deodorant is not a substitute for showering, but I guess that works too.

Teach them that if they smell nice, that they are most likely to get a girl to like them. Boys that age are mostly interested in that haha (from my experience)

Boys will be held responsible for their actions like everyone else.

I'm more amazed that it wasn't "deodorant being used as a substitute for showering." EDIT: Oops, I was too late.

This is a horrific state that needs to be forgotten and never said again. Guys shouldn't get a free pass for simply being guys. It is idiotic and sexist

You can't just turn their world upside down like that! You should ease them into the reality that is!

I'm nearing the end of my junior year and I'm not interested in girls. So, that may not go well.

Dude if you've never been interested in a girl and you're 16/17, that's honestly a little weird maybe you're gay or asexual. you're supposed to be interested in girls/guys/something by that time

I think #86 means he's more interested in finishing school, rather than being focused on a relationship.
