Today, I stumbled across my ex's blog. Apparently, while dating me, he realized he was gay. Good to know the one guy I've dated, lost my virginity to, and fell in love with, was never truly attracted to me and was dating me just to be sure. FML

Today, I discovered that the man I have been talking to on a dating site is actually my ex-boyfriend. He created a fake profile and made me fall for someone that doesn't exist. We got on better anonymously than we ever did in 3 years together. FML
Today, after three days of dating a boy I liked, he came out as gay on his Instagram. FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me for a guy. I was the only one who knew he was bisexual. Now everyone thinks I "turned him gay." FML
Today, I found out that the girl my boyfriend says is "just a good old friend" is actually an "ex that got away." FML
Today my ex-boyfriend came out as gay. My family were like, “It’s about time! Oh honey child, we knew he was a major queen the day you brought him home, that’s why we let you share a room on sleepovers. No way was he going to try anything.” It’s true, we dated for 5 months and I’m still a virgin. FML
Today, my girlfriend, who I've loved and dated for over a year, confessed that she's actually straight as an arrow. All this time, she's basically been using me as an accessory to enhance her "social status" and make her guy friends horny. FML

OP there's a big difference between realizing he was gay while he was dating you, and dating you to make sure he was gay. It's true he might have thought he was gay and dated you to make sure, but unless he flat-out said that, you don't know. Maybe he truly wanted to date you and THEN realized he was gay; the reason you found out through a blog is probably because he didn't want to hurt you by telling you that he's gay.

Sounds to me like a good reason to reconnect and build a friendship with him. Instead of moping about your love life, maybe you could take some time and think about what kind of struggle he must have been going through, and at the very least not take your breakup personally and realize you have your own good qualities that someone [straight] will appreciate you for someday.

This same exact thing happened to me! Except my ex decided to cheat on me, get a girl pregnant (how does that even happen?), and ended up moving in with my family because my mom felt sorry for him & because he had nowhere else to go. I am too afraid to even date again.
