Today, I overheard my dad telling his work buddy that he's disappointed in his kid. I assumed he meant my brother, for flunking out of school. He meant me, for quitting sports to focus on my studies. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
My dad, the gold digger
Today, I was telling my dad how I turned down some guy, but when I mentioned the guy's name my dad was like, “Oh, you mean the son of my old friend, studying computer engineering, genius, real future ahead of him, and you think you can do better than him? What’s wrong with you?” FML
Today, as I woke up early to do my physics homework, I heard my parents talk about how big a disappointment I am for them. They discussed how stupid, immature and how big a burden I was. They knew I was listening. FML
So selfish
Today, my family yelled at me for being a "selfish disappointment." My crime? Not being able to help my sister's boyfriend do his homework while I'm working on my class finals. FML
Today, I won an award at school for my hard work. Afterwards, my parents told me off. Why? They wanted my brother to get it instead of me. FML
Today, my siblings came home for the weekend. At dinner, my dad started complaining at how one of my siblings had gotten fired, one was failing college, and the other was gay. He went on to say I was 17 and already had a bright future. I'm pregnant. FML
Foot, meet mouth
Today, I was talking to one of my supervisors at my new job. He asked if I knew a professor at the school I recently graduated from, and I decided to babble on about how shitty of a professor he was and how much I loathed his class. He then looked at me and said, "That's my dad." FML
Chill out, Judy
Today, my mom found out about my brother smoking. She calmly discussed smoking with him. On the other hand, I got yelled at and made to do chores all day despite having a university exam, just because I knew about it but I didn't tell her, because I knew that I would get the short end of the stick. FML
Today, I got back home from work and casually asked my dad, "What's up?" He casually replied, "Wishing I'd had a son instead." and stared glassy-eyed at me until I left the room. FML
Supportive
Today, I was pouring my heart out to my dad about how I'm such a loser and how I have no friends. He listened sympathetically, until his phone buzzed with a text message. He said, "Balls, the guys from work wanna get shitfaced!" and took a rain check on me. FML
Today, my maths teacher was giving my whole class a lecture on 'if you don't pay attention at school, you will fail.' She then pointed out out a man working on the roof and said: 'if you don't listen, you will end up like that guy.' That was my dad. FML

My dad got mad at me for playing football. He said it would distract my studies smh. OP should figure out how to balance both sports are real fun and well your studies is your life.

It really isn't that hard to balance sports and studies, in my household it is expected. Either get into sports, get a job, or get out. Simple as that, kids have it way to damn easy these days and it's getting the Into trouble.

A retard in a healthy body, thats what all parents want!

Most kids who do sports happen to be also relatively smart, they have to be if they want to play. Just FYI

Seriously? Everyone I tutor is in sports, most of them are dumber then a door nail.
FMLJFL 5
You tutor them because they're stupid and they just happen to be in sports. Everyone I know including myself loves sports, but happen to get the best grades compared to those who do nothing and suck

1- So you prefer being stupid, flunking out of school, and working at McDonalds for the rest of your life but looking good over getting a good job, attracting all the ladies (we like smart, successful guys) and being able to afford your own house? Think about it that way.
