Today, I'm grieving over the death of my best friend of 9 years. My mom wasted no time arriving at the conclusion that I must be hormonal and pregnant with his child. Apparently it's not normal for a woman to cry so much over a man, unless they've been fucking. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, thanks to pregnancy hormones, I cried my eyes out for hours over the guy who dumped me 9 years ago. FML
Today, I was going to confess to my best friend that I am madly in love with her. I called her up only to find her crying. She was upset that she might be pregnant with some guy. FML
Today, my mom asked me if I was crying because my boyfriend cheated on me with my best friend. That wasn't why I was crying. My mom knows things before I do. FML
Empathy lives
Today, my mom walked in on me crying in my room and yelled at me for being a "weak little crybaby." I’d just found out my best friend died in a car accident. When I told my mom that, she said, "Does it look like I fucking care?" FML
Today, I am two months pregnant. Being super hormonal, I was crying about how much I was crying. My husband put his arms around me to comfort me, and I sobbed so hard that I threw up all over him. FML
Today, I found my mother in tears, so I asked her what was wrong. She told me, "It's your father, he wants a divorce..." I asked if he'd met another woman, and my mom replied "No, not a woman..." FML
No time for tears
Today, my wife caught me crying over her miscarriage and she started yelling and screaming at me to "man up" because she should be the sad one, not me. FML
Chill out, dude
Today, I told my boyfriend I’m pregnant. He broke down crying because his mother is going to be so mad at him. He’s in his 30’s and we've lived together for over 4 years, it’s not like it was a drunken mistake, it just happened naturally. FML
Today, while tearfully telling my closest friends that I had miscarried my first pregnancy, the first thing out of their mouths was, "So, does this mean you're going to start drinking with us again?" FML
Bad omen
Today, I woke up to my girlfriend sobbing so I went over to comfort her. She didn't want to talk about it, but was inconsolable. I called her best friend to help out, as maybe it's easier for her to talk to a woman instead. I found out from her friend that my partner's ex got his new girlfriend pregnant. That's why. FML

Maybe you should talk to your mom about appropriate behavior after the death of someone close...

First: I apologize for tagging the you deserved it, twas a misclick. You did not deserve your mother's ignorance or hurtful comment! You cry all you need. Nine years is a long time to know someone and then lose them like that. May you heal up when you can!

I mourned for several weeks after my golden retriever named Scooby Doo whom I had for thirteen years passed away from natural causes and remained depressed for a month when my bearded dragon passed on. They were both my best friends. I doubt that means I was engaging in sexual acts with either animal

Your mother sounds crazy. Very sorry to hear, it's hard to lose a good friend. I had to hide my sorrow from my wife when an ex-girlfriend, who 15 years later became a friend, died; please accept all empathy I can give. God bless you.

I'm sorry. I went through a terrible loss a few years ago when a male friend of mine passed away. I still am not over it... And we were not a couple. It's really hard, especially when people take you lightly or worse, not understand.

Well here's my 2 cents for your 9 years of grieving. Get over it, people die all the time but it does sound like you need grief councling, maybe they'll prescribe a few joints to relax.

Way to be insensitive. Yes, people die all the time. But if you lost someone you deeply cared for, are you just gonna not care and move on? Best friend of NINE YEARS and they die and you're telling OP to just "move on" as if it's easy as that? Damn.
