Today, as always, my boyfriend is better than me at everything, including skills that I have years of experience with, while he has none. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I had band practice for our duo. I've been playing cello for almost a year and wanted to incorporate it. He picked it up for pretty much the first time and sounded surprisingly good. I was excited until I realized he sounded better than me. FML
Today, my boyfriend learned how to somersault. He now thinks that he's a ninja and somersaults into every room. FML
Today, I joined a dance class to impress my girlfriend. Halfway through, I realized I had two left feet. The instructor asked me to demonstrate a simple move, and instead I tripped on the mat, fell into another dancer, and took her down with me. I’ve been banned from all future classes. FML
Today, my mom publicly pole danced. In a playground. FML
Today, a man joined our dance group who is at least 10 stone overweight with a belly hanging over his belt. When I tell you he is leaps and bounds a much better dancer than me, I'm underselling how good he is. I fully admit I’m jealous, but he makes all my efforts seem laughable. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend he is good at singing. Now he won't stop. FML
Today, I found out that the money my husband and I gave to my son for university courses, has instead been spent on pole dancing lessons. FML
Today, while arm wrestling with my boyfriend, I had to pretend he beat me. FML
Today, I went with my girlfriend to the gym for the first time. I knew I was in bad shape, but I bet her that I could lift more than her. Not only did I get my ass handed to me by a 5', 115lbs girl in front of the entire gym, I also have to attend Zumba in bright pink spandex. FML

The studio I used to take pole classes at was women-only for years, until they got someone who was able to teach a class according to men's bodies. Typically, men already have the strength for a lot of pole tricks, but they often end up injuring themselves, because they don't take the time to learn proper technique before attempting tricks. Women usually have to learn technique first, then build up the strength. You may actually be a better technical pole dancer, but he's just naturally stronger, making him appear better. Then again, maybe he's just naturally good overall.
