Today, I learned how artistically talented my daughter is. Unfortunately, her favorite medium to work in is poo. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to clean up after the kid who discovered he could finger paint with his poo. FML
Picasso in training
Today, I discovered my 3-year-old daughter's artistic skills. She managed to draw an elaborate mural on our living room wall. The masterpiece? A stick figure family, including our dog, but instead of a tail, he has a second head. She of course used permanent markers. FML
Primitive art
Today, I went to check on my 2 year-old daughter in her playroom, since she was being awfully quiet. I walk in to see her finger painting with her own feces on her kiddie table. FML
Today, my 4 year-old daughter's favorite expression became "shit balls." FML
The art, the artist
Today, my daughter is not only an expert in escaping her diaper but also in leaving her mark on every surface possible. Today's masterpiece: a poop trail on the hotel room rug. It was like a modern art installation, but with a distinctive smell. FML
Toot toot!
Today, trying to make my 6 year-old daughter to laugh, I drew a picture of a butt, a puff of air coming out and the word "Toot". My daughter thought it extremely funny. Later, when she was talking with my extremely judgmental mother-in-law, I heard her say, "Daddy taught me how to draw butts." FML
Today, I came home from work to find my five year old daughter drawing unicorns on the wall. The same wall that I had to repaint last week because it had puppies on it. FML
Today, my daughter spoke her first words. Her dad had been practicing with her for weeks in secret. She crawled to me and said, "I poop." FML
Duchamp would be proud
Today, my five year-old niece thought that it would be acceptable to carve her artwork all over our toilet seat. FML
Today, I had to tell my daughter that just because markers say "washable", it doesn't mean that you can draw all over our newly-painted walls. She's 15. FML

Picasso had his Blue Period. Your daughter is clearly having her Poo Period.

I wonder how medium will impact style. I could imagine a tendency towards pointillism after eating corn.

To work in or work with? Either way it's gross but the distinction is important.

"Poo period" sounds like something completely different (and even more disgusting, no less).

If a blue canvas with a white line down the middle is considered artwork, I'm sure pretty much anything including shit itself can be one too.

Most art these days is shit — at least your daughter is literal.

She’ll be a modern art master in no time
