Today, I had to give a speech but I wasn't prepared. I decided to give it anyway. While giving the speech, I got so nervous I passed out. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Ever decreasing circles
Today, I had to give presentation at work, for which I'd extensively prepared. However, as soon as I started speaking, I had a sudden panic attack and forgot everything I'd rehearsed. I stumbled through the presentation, feeling the embarrassment steadily grow in front of my colleagues. I almost passed out. FML
Today, I had to give a speech on stage at a local preschool about fire safety. I'm 32 years-old and passed out on stage because I felt extremely nervous and intimidated by a group of 4 year-olds. FML
Today, I tried to break up with my boyfriend. Midway through the speech I'd prepared, I fainted and hit my head against a wall. FML
Circular
Today, I had a panic attack while giving a presentation on how to breathe to avoid having panic attacks. FML
Is this a stand up show?
Today, I had a big presentation at work and I was feeling really confident. I'd practiced it over and over and I knew it inside out. But when I got up to speak, I realized I had left my notes at home. I ended up winging it and it was a disaster. FML
Today, while giving speech in class, I choked on my own spit and had a coughing fit while everyone stared at me intently. When I finally regained my composure, my teacher told me my time was up and to sit down. I hadn't even got finished the first paragraph. FML
Today, I went to a very important job interview. I was so nervous that I passed out right in front of the interviewer's desk. FML
Today, I got up on stage excited to recite a spoken word piece that I worked on and memorized for about 20 hours, neglecting other obligations like studying for an exam the next day. I blanked out in the middle of the performance in front of hundreds of people. FML
Toasted
Today, I spent an hour preparing a heartfelt speech for my friend’s wedding. I stood up, got emotional, and promptly fainted, spilling a glass of wine all over myself. FML
Speech! Speech!
Today, I had to give a speech at my sister’s wedding. I spent weeks preparing every word. When it was finally my turn, I stood up to the microphone and froze. Instead of something like, "Congratulations, I’m so happy for you both," I mixed up whatever jokes I'd prepared in my brain, and blurted out, “I’m in love with your husband.” FML

You saved yourself from a horrible unprepared speech and I'm sure the fainting was alot more entertaining to the audience. :) Lol.

At least you'll have more time to finish that speech up.

Why do I have the feeling this would've happened even if you were prepared? I really hate to laugh at your obvious pain but this keeps giving me the funniest mental images. I am so sorry I didn't see this. Youtube? Seriously though - I think they have classes fir that. I personally would rather talk in front of 1,000 people than face ti face with 1 so it could be worse.

YDI! You should have asked the teacher to do it later with some points taken off.

was it by chance, the "fear speech" you have in comm appl? because if it was I can so picture this scene; "my fear is...*loud plop sound*

getting an F is definatley not a good thing just do the speech. If you don't face your fears they just get worse

same thing happened to a kid who took my public speaking class the semester before me! he wouldn't wake up, so they had to call 911. the professor tells every class about it on the first day of the semester. that poor kid is never going to live that down!

Why would you give a speech you weren't prepared for? I can understand being unprepared for a speech during speech class, but in speech class no one really cares about your speech and they forget it by the end of the class. I agree with #4 (given that this didn't occur during a speech class), although I don't understand their need to leech to the top of the post when they were so close anyways.
