Today, I had to do my assistant manager's job because she doesn't know what the hell she is doing. I'd interviewed for this position but didn't get it because I'm "still too new for this position." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my assistant is now my manager. FML
Today, I got demoted from my manager's position, only to be replaced by a 21 year-old who has never worked in retail in her life. I now have to spend the next month teaching her my job so they can fire me. FML
Today, I interviewed potential employees for a job position that I was supposed to get promoted to. FML
Nepotism rules
Today, I got notice that I didn't get the new position I applied for at work. After two interviews, pay negotiation and paperwork, as well as years of giving this place all my time, I found out my boss gave it to his friend's daughter, who has no experience or credentials needed for the position. FML
How does that work?
Today, the girl I hired and trained took my director's position. She's not even been there a month. I didn't do anything to lose it, they just decided she was more qualified. At least I was good at picking employees I guess. FML
Here I go again
Today, I went to start my new job, only to find out that the guy who hired me had no permission to do so. I had to fill out another application, and complete another interview and I still might not get the damn job. FML
Bunch of NPCs
Today, my manager sat me down and insinuated that it's my fault that our new hires are useless. Not one person ever told me that I was responsible for training them. I'm not in charge, and they've been here for weeks. FML
Today, I was once again passed over for a promotion. I'm now the assistant to a kid who has failed to meet almost every single responsibility he's been given before. It's my job to make sure he's successful, and if he isn't, I'll lose my job. FML
Lowered expectations
Today, I was told that couldn’t become assistant manager of my job anymore. I already told my family I was going to be one, and they'd all said how proud of me they were. FML
Today, I was let go at work. About 2 years ago, we had hired an eager-to-learn "assistant" for me. When they canned me, they let me know that I should've trained him faster so I could've been fired sooner. FML

or tell the higher ups that you're doing her job. Maybe they'll move you up.

You can't expect to get a higher up position right away.

No, they'll just end up doing double work for half the pay. Better to let her **** up and wait till the higher ups start asking questions.

Maybe you can talk to someone who is higher up, and try and get the position.

Time to stand up for yourself. Tell your boss.

Quit that job. They either show favoritism, or can't recognize incompetence. Either way, you'll get screwed, so leave before the problem escalates.

Yeah, who needs a steady income?

Tell who's ever higher than her, and if you don't get a promotion/raise stop doing her job, or get a better job that will acknowledge your skills. don't settle for doing other people's job.

And yet OP does what the person who gives out promotions in place of the manager... Now the question is who had connections here?
