Today, I got two pieces of mail. One was a fine for not presenting my concession card to ticket inspectors on a train. The other was my concession card. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I accidentally left my concession card in the photocopier. I then got fined for not having a concession card on the train. I was photocopying it for a letter to get out of a fine for not having a concession card. FML
Today, I got a parking ticket in the mail. I don't have a car. FML
Today, I got a speeding ticket. I wrote a check, and on the way to deposit my fine, I got another one. I put both fines in a box down town, and I turned around to see a cop putting a parking ticket under my wind-shield wiper. FML
Fake plates
Today, I received a traffic ticket by mail, presumably for speeding. Not a big deal, if my car hadn't been totalled three months ago. My driver's license is expired, too. FML
It never rains, it pours
Today, I got a speeding ticket in the mail, at the same time as my car was getting towed. FML
Today, I forgot to pay for my train ride for the first time. Today was also the first time I've ever seen transit security checking for people's tickets and kicking offenders off. FML
Today I was very excited to go to the post office to claim a parcel. I didn't know what it could be, so I assumed it was a gift. It turned out to be a speeding ticket. FML
Today, I got pulled over for violating hands-free law and not having an updated address on my driver's license. Two days ago, I got pulled over for the same reasons. Now, I have four tickets I need to deal with. FML
Today, I was on the bus, when the inspector asked to see my ticket. I couldn't find it, and ended up being kicked off the bus while a few of the other passengers jeered at me. I found my ticket on the long walk home, buried in my pocket. FML
Today, I had my driver's permit in an envelope to keep it safe and a letter to mail out. I drove away from the post office with the letter in my hand. FML

You mean to tell me you didn't even get my love letter? Fine! I'm going to send a hate letter, and it will arrive the same time as my love letter!

maybe people dont know the definition of prime. or irony. or perhaps the dont care.

Don't use that song to define irony. As many will tell you, it's wrong. Look at the literary definitions. This one is ironic, but not the best example of irony. It is, however, a classic example of FYL and goddamn bureaucracy.

I don't understand this FML... I suppose that's the downside of having the shittiest public transportation in my city.

12 & 35 ... I think 10 was joking. Because everyone knows that post office and government are two separate things etc. and that the post office is still open.

Yikes, in China of all places. Wouldn't want to break any laws/rules etc. over there.

If we are general public in any country and we break the law, then we are in soup.

All these people want to talk so much smack about the postal service and don't even have the slightest clue how it operates. Do you guys think fedex and ups is any better? Not hardly.
graceinsheepwear 34
OP is in China anyway.

Wasn't even referring to the post. Just the people who want to bash the postal service when no one has a clue on what goes on.
