Today, I got my dog some weight loss formula food, as she is very overweight. This new food makes her have horrible gas. FML

Today, I've been on the verge of throwing up all day. Why? My dog is intolerant to grain, but grain-free dog food causes heart problems so she can't have that. Now our lives are filled with nasty farts and Hershey squirts with no end in sight. It's a rough time for us both. FML
Today, I took my dog to the vet and she was diagnosed with obesity. The vet then told me that dogs usually imitate their owners eating and behavior habits. FML
Today, whilst still trying to potty train my puppy and keep her from both peeing and pooping in the house, my lactose intolerance kicked in full fledge. Every time I pass gas, she smells poop and believes it's okay to immediately drop a deuce on the carpet. FML
Today, after being worried for a week because my dog wasn't eating, I paid the vet $120 for her to tell me that my dog doesn't like her dog food. FML
Today, my dog had REALLY bad diarrhea. I found that out when I woke up to find it all over my bed. FML
Today, I was at my girlfriend's house for dinner. Her mom gave me some seasoned cauliflower, which I didn't like. Not wanting to dissapoint my girlfriend's mom, I slipped the cauliflower of my plate and gave it to their dog. It turns out cauliflower gives their dog explosive diarrhea. FML
Today, I learned that the vomiting and uncontrollable flatulence I've been suffering from is normal with my new diet. FML
Today, I brought my new puppy home. I saw her sniffing around, so I took her outside to do her business. She simply played in the grass for ten minutes, so I brought her in. She walked in the door, squatted, and shit. She has diarrhea. This is the fourth time today. FML
Today, I finally realized why my 9-week-old puppy was going to the bathroom so much. I went to pick up the food bag and realized she had chewed a hole in the bottom, and eaten half of the bag in the last 4 days. Goodbye 30 pounds of dog food, and 100$ for a vet visit. FML
Today, my dog won’t eat the premium $30 per kilo food I buy him, but he will eat other dog’s shit. FML

I have the same problem except that the dog is my grandfather. And that he's not overweight, he's just regularly gassy

Give her a few days to get used to the food, sometimes changing an animals diet can take a couple of days adjusting and terrible gas/toilet breaks. If it continues, try a different brand.

You've got to mix her old food with her new food over a period of at least a week. Gradually adding more of the new and less of the old. That will help prevent gas and stomach issues. Also make sure it doesn't have a lot of fillers in it like corn, soy, wheat, or grains. That just makes them feel full and are not actually getting the nutrition they need.

You might want to look into a slow feeder bowl and meats for your dog to help with her diet. The slow feeder bowl will make getting food in certain areas difficult and the meat is healthy for her

It's probably because dog's stomachs are much more sensitive than ours and you can't just change their food out of nowhere because their stomach will get really upset. Next time try starting out by mixing some of her old food with the new food and with each feeding add a little less and a little less of the old food. It's much easier on their stomachs. You're lucky it's just gas and not worse.
