Today, I got a raise at work. It will bring my hourly wage to about a cent more per hour. Our CEO just reported record-breaking profits for the year. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got a raise. A 10 cent raise. I have worked at my job for over 3 years. I now make 20 cents more an hour than people that have only worked there 3 minutes. FML
Rolling in it
Today, I got raise at work. It's $3 per month. FML
Seize the means
Today, the person recently hired to work in my spot during my days off started at a higher hourly rate than me, after I have been here for nearly three years. I asked for a raise and got a dollar more; meanwhile, my regional counterparts make 4 dollars more per hour. FML
Downsizing awaits
Today, I got a 25-cent raise at work. That would be wonderful, had they not cut 6 hours off my schedule as well. I'm now making $200 less a month than I was pre-raise. FML
Promotion, huh?
Today, I was promoted. After going to school for 10 months to get certified for the new position, training extensively, and taking on a ton more responsibility, I was hoping for a decent raise. How much do my bosses think all of that time and effort is worth? One dollar more per hour than I made before. FML
Evening out
Today, I finally got a raise after years of hard work! Excited, I went on a shopping spree, but as I checked the latest prices, it turns out that my extra income barely covers the increase in my grocery bill. Thanks, inflation. FML
Today, after 3 years at my job I received a 14% raise. I was informed I will be transitioned from hourly to salary. I will now be making $1500 LESS than I made last year. FML
What?
Today, my coworker got a raise by making our boss give me a pay cut for doing his job while he was slacking off. As we were heading home for the day, he found $100. FML
Today, my boss asked me to talk to the HR manager to see if I was happy about my pay, which made me think I was going to get a raise. Turns out they paid me nearly twice as much as they should have for the last 2 years and I owe them over €5000. FML
Boss makes a dollar…
Today, after one year of overworking myself to the point of panic attacks multiple times a week, I finally got my annual raise, which is given based on performance and effort. My warehouse's minimum production is 95. I regularly was in the 130s. My raise was 2 cents. FML

Your boss probably doesn't like you.

Quit bitching. You have a job at a secure company. And that penny is probably take home after taxes. The raise was likely more...

So having a job means you cannot complain about the bad points of your job like, oh I don't know, having a raise of one penny? Well then, now I can harass anyone I want at work and get no cumeuppance because people with your mentality exist. And if you want people to quit bitching, I suggest you quit FML.

Yeah before taxes I'm sure it was something like, oh I dunno, 1.25cents. I doubt US taxes are so high that a 5 dollar raise gets taxed by 499%...

Ouch.... At least you got a raise!

If you work full time, that's 40¢ a week, $1.60 a month, $19.20 a year. That could buy you a basketball.

Or 19 things at the $1 store. The possibilities are endless!

Hate to break it to you, but 19.50 would only buy a very shitty basketball. Dollar store it is!

A basketball nonetheless

Your math is a bit off. There are 52 weeks in a year, not 48. Just saying...

Maybe it only broke the previous record by one cent per hour?

You're lucky you have a job, but it's not right to be getting a cent more when there is such huge profit.. Complaining will probably get you fired, but there are obviously people taking the money.. Hmm

Nice! It'll only take you a hundred hours to make an extra dollar!
