Today, I got a 25-cent raise at work. That would be wonderful, had they not cut 6 hours off my schedule as well. I'm now making $200 less a month than I was pre-raise. FML

Today, the person recently hired to work in my spot during my days off started at a higher hourly rate than me, after I have been here for nearly three years. I asked for a raise and got a dollar more; meanwhile, my regional counterparts make 4 dollars more per hour. FML

while all extra money is good... that sounds less like "way to go" and more like "there, that should shut them up". if you work in a civilized location talk to your boss about more of a raise or how to get a bigger raise. if you live in an area you can be fire for no reason... you may be SoL unless you find a better job.
