Today, I found out that my boyfriend was going to propose to me about three months ago. I was completely surprised and asked why he didn't. At that time, I had told him to stop looking at me like that and go buy me some damn tacos. I was 2 months pregnant then. Now he wants to wait a couple of years. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend of 3 years announced that he is not ready for marriage, and won’t be for 'at least' another 2 years. Of course he waited to tell me this 2 days after he had proposed to me in front of hundreds of people, I said yes, and we announced it to all our family members and friends. FML
Emotional rollercoaster
Today, my boyfriend of four years proposed to me and I said yes. A few hours later, I found out he's been talking to multiple other girls for about three months. FML
What will people think?
Today, I turned down my boyfriend's proposal because I'm pregnant and I told him I didn't want people thinking that's why we were getting married. He… did not react well. Yes, he knows that I'm pregnant. FML
Trapped
Today, I told my boyfriend I was pregnant. Instead of being happy, he freaked out, then told me I was trying to "trap" him. We've been together for 12 years, and trying for 3. FML
Today, my fiance told me he thought it was time that we started to see other people. I'm six months pregnant with his baby. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two years proposed to me. Less than two minutes later, he decided he wasn't ready for the commitment. After I had already said yes. FML
What happened?
Today, after 5 and a half years, my boyfriend had spent months talking about proposing before the end of the year. He'd picked out a ring, told all his friends, and couldn't stop talking about our future. He then dumped me over the phone out of the blue. FML
Today, my boyfriend proposed. Three hours later, he called me to tell me he was kidding. FML
Jumping the gun
Today, my boyfriend took me on a surprise date to an expensive restaurant. After the meal, he got down on his knee and proposed. We've only been dating for two weeks, so I said no. He just silently kept staring me in the eyes, no matter what I said or did. I ended up having to walk home. FML
Congrats?
Today, my boyfriend of 3 years proposed without a ring. He told me he would get it once his divorce papers are final. I didn't know he was married. FML

Can you blame him for not asking to marry you when you're being rude to him like that? It looks like it hit him hard because he still remembers what you said to him. It's nice to see you guys have a pretty good line of communication, but I wouldn't hold this against him. All the thought was there. If it bums you out so much, maybe you should be the one asking him to marry you.

I would totally have dumped you right there. If you're that much of a bitch to the people you claim to care about, I'd hate to see you in any other situation. Oh, btw, you added that you were "2 months pregnant" like that's some kind of excuse. It's not. Being pregnant is not some kind of universal get-out-of-jail-free card, particularly not at only 2 months.

I would have returned the ring right there and left your worthless ass.

"Look at me, I'm an annoying bitch who makes everyone want to reconsider their relationships with me, while trying to garner sympathy with meaningless bullshit" is all I heard you say. YDI

Seems sensible on his part. I'm sick and tired of women using hormones, be it their period or a pregnancy, as an excuse to be egomaniacal bitches.

Did you make him a sandwich first though? See that's why...

I think in some areas of life women have more than equal rights to men and it's considered OK for women to tread all over men where, if it were the other way round, it most definitely wouldn't be acceptable. Women aren't a crazy different species who have no control over their behaviour. Pregnant or not, if you talk to someone like shit and they didn't deserve it then you need to apologise, like an adult. Either the OP's boyfriend was extremely nervous about proposing and she scared him off... or he saw this as the bad personality trait that it is and wanted to reconsider.

Yeah god forbid a woman should ask her boyfriend to do something for her. I mean really, we all know women should be complacent little sheep with one kind of emotion, right? But I mean, if a GUY should demand his girl get him something and she said no, well she MUST be a conceited bitch. Seriously women who seek equality with men just lack ambition.

From what can be gathered she didn't ask, she got nasty. Neither men nor women should be servants or meek little sheep to their other halves.

Guys this has nothing to do with feminism or stereotypes or social norms or anything. Pregnant women are hormonal, end of story. Her boyfriend should know that. It's a common sense thing. If he really wanted to propose to her, why let a hormonal outburst put him off for a few years? That really doesn't make much sense. He needs to get over it and take the bad with the good.

Agreed. Though, unless this guy is a dumb ass or a pansy ass... odds are this is a common thing that has put him off for a few years and made him reconsider. Snapping a bit during pregnancy? undertsandable. Snapping frequently with a 'get me a taco... I'm a princess and if you can't handle the bad you don't deserve the good' attitude? unexeptable. If he seriously told her "bitch, get in the kitchen and make me dinner?" while he was in a bad mood... would that be okay?

Don't call me a sexist here, but women are quite hormonal, pregnant or not. Not being able to control your hormones to ask for tacos like a civilized human being is not emotional, it's irrational. You can tell me I don't understand what it's like to be pregnant all you want, but if you're a woman and you ask for food so rudely it sounds like pregnancy is more of an excuse then an actual reason.
