Today, I found out my mom can't wait until I turn 18, so she can kick me out and turn my room into a huge closet for all her clothes. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom told me she can't wait for me to turn eighteen so she can turn my room into a place for her to display all her antique glass dolls. FML
Sentenced
Today, I realized I can't wait until my daughter moves out the house when she is 18. She's eight. FML
Get me out of this mess!
Today, two more years until I can move out. My mom takes up so much space in the house, even in my room, I don't even have enough space for my own clothes, and I'm not allowed to get rid of ones that don't fit. How am I supposed to survive another two years here when I have a breakdown about her suffocating me once a week? FML
Today, I found out that my mom goes through my garbage. I'm 25 and don't live with her. FML
Get me out of here!
Today, my mother is a hoarder and her stuff has taken over the whole house, my bedroom included. I've always felt trapped in my home, but when I can't use my closet or dresser because of her and have a messy room because of it, I feel like I can't breathe. In 3 years I'm moving out, I wish it would come faster. FML
Today, my mom yelled at me for going through her closet for some warmer clothes. She had a rant about taking her clothes without her permission, all while wearing a pair of my boots and one of my sweaters. FML
Get out
Today, my mother kicked me out of the house because her new boyfriend needs my room. Evidently he also needs my credit card, passport, and wallet too, because she kept all three, while tossing everything else out on the lawn. FML
Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML
Today, I decided it was time to start looking for my own place and finally gain my full independence. My mom agreed happily without hesitation, which was surprising, but not anywhere near as surprising as finding out I have one day to get my shit together and leave. FML
Don't go
Today, my mother told me she thinks it is time for me to move into my own place. I agreed with her and went to look at studios/flats online. She later came into my room, saw me looking at places and then got pissed off at me, saying that I hate her for wanting to leave her. FML

I hate parents with the mindset of kicking you out when you turn 18. That's the most ****** up thing a parent can do. Most people aren't finically stable at 18 and need help before they get out.

Yikes, I really hope she doesn't get impatient and start converting your room. It's terrible when parents' beliefs force their children to live in the closet.

Im doing same thing to my kid y cause she dont want college, job, or military but wants to continue to party come in sleep all day all on my dime. Ppl quick blame parent sometimes these kids have sense entitlement. I was working at 16 and saving my money. Parent would help me get a place help me pay first couple months and i still come over do laundry. Mostly because i showed initiative and some independence.

If OP was getting kicked out for being a lazy sack, I doubt mom's justification would be "closet" so much as "get your freeloading butt out of my house."

Don't feel bad :| my mom decided that even though I was 19, still living with her, that the day I met my husband, she kicked me out and turned my room into a smoking room because sitting near a window or going outside was too much work. When she found out that I had no where to go, she put me in the hot, stuffy, with no ventilation attic. Ended up with bronchitis and she yelled at me for being a ***** ._. ok then mom.

Hope you have nothing to do with her after that! Sorry you had to deal with that.

Such parenting sucks. A person should have responsibility towards their kids, and if they are not in a condition to handle themselves financially, they should help their kids to at least get a job to cover their expenses and pay the rent.

wow. I'm truly sorry you have to hear that from your mom when that's the person who's suppose to support you the most. Work you ass of, make money and leave before you turn 18 to see what she's gonna do ;)
