Today, we got a letter regarding my sister's college career and an appointment she was required to go to. This seems fitting, since she's a senior in high school, or at least she would be if she hadn't passed away a little over a year ago. FML

Today, my younger sister's dog broke its leg. The vets are closed today so instead of going on a date with a girl I have been trying to get for at least 2 years, I need to carry an 80 lb. dog that hates me, up and down the stairs. I already got bit twice. FML

Today, I found out that my dad paid for my sister's friend's airplane ticket so she could attend my sister's wedding. I would have been there myself, but I couldn't afford the airplane ticket. FML

Today, I told my professor that I'll be missing class next week due to upcoming surgery. I asked if I could take the exam that I'd otherwise miss another day. He said no, and that I'd just have to take a failing grade, then wished me luck with the surgery. FML

Weddings blow
Today, I missed going to my boyfriend's stepsister's wedding. I would have been meeting my boyfriend's mom for the first time; now she doesn't like me. She figured I could just "tough it out". I have a chronic health condition and haven't been able to eat or get out of bed. FML

Someone else paying for their college ed wasn't even an option for 90% of the people I know. Get a loan, get a job, pay for it yourself.

Where did she say she was using her parents for college money? Maybe she doesn't even HAVE parents and she has to help her sister in this situation and give her money so she doesn't sound selfish.. People on FML jump to conclusions too much.

the horse is worth the money, and there are student loans and you could get a job? or maybe if you worked harder in school then you would be able to get at least some money in the different awards and scholarships, there are a million different ways to be able to pay your own way through college you shouldn't have to rely on your rents, when i go to uni i won't have them paying for it

horses r wayyyy better then humans.... if my horse needed sugery and it was a choice between college and my horse I wud choose my horse then get a job to go to school
