Today, we got a letter regarding my sister's college career and an appointment she was required to go to. This seems fitting, since she's a senior in high school, or at least she would be if she hadn't passed away a little over a year ago. FML

Today, my younger sister's dog broke its leg. The vets are closed today so instead of going on a date with a girl I have been trying to get for at least 2 years, I need to carry an 80 lb. dog that hates me, up and down the stairs. I already got bit twice. FML

Today, I found out that my dad paid for my sister's friend's airplane ticket so she could attend my sister's wedding. I would have been there myself, but I couldn't afford the airplane ticket. FML

Today, I told my professor that I'll be missing class next week due to upcoming surgery. I asked if I could take the exam that I'd otherwise miss another day. He said no, and that I'd just have to take a failing grade, then wished me luck with the surgery. FML

Weddings blow
Today, I missed going to my boyfriend's stepsister's wedding. I would have been meeting my boyfriend's mom for the first time; now she doesn't like me. She figured I could just "tough it out". I have a chronic health condition and haven't been able to eat or get out of bed. FML

Someone else paying for their college ed wasn't even an option for 90% of the people I know. Get a loan, get a job, pay for it yourself.

Holy hell, what's wrong with some people? A horse is NOT as important as someone's education. OP obviously thought that her parents were going to pay for it, and to have it all thrown away by a horse is unfair. I'm sorry, but horses aren't humans, people should relax on practically worshipping animals. Either way though, OP is screwed. I guess the best thing to do is get a job, and it's unfortunate that her education is less important than a damn horse.

I'd rather pay for my horses surgery then college if I had too ... my horse means more to me then education I could easily get the money again somehow .. nothing could ever replace my horse she means the world to me and if anything happened to her I'd like die.

Isn't that what a shotgun is for? Shotguns don't cost as much as surgery, and hey it puts it out of its misery so you can get a real education. Parents who play favorites disgust me. **** horses. PETA = People Eating Tastey Animals! All you tree-hugging vegan animal-******* PETA ***** need to grow a pair of balls already, or eat some meat or go kill something. Jeez. ;) And to everyone telling the OP to get a job, have you not seen the economy? You can't get a ******* job without an education. I'm NOT sorry, but human survival is a hell of a lot more important than an animal that was put here to serve us.

If one of my horses needed surgery, of course my family would choose them over college. Your family should look into insurance though.
