Today, I finally stood up to the guy who's been bullying me for the last 2 years. Even though he's been caught in the act several times, he never gets punished, so I figured I'd get away with gut-punching him. Nope. An hour later, I was suspended from school. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, after years of torment and relentless harassment, I finally built up the courage to stand up to a bully. I got a detention for swearing at him. FML
Ultraviolence
Today, I finally stood up to a bully who had been messing with me for over a year. His response? He picked up the chair I was sitting in and threw me across the room. FML
Unfortunate coincidences
Today, I finally stood up for myself and beat the crap out of a bully at school, as my father told me to do. The kid and I were called to the principal's office, along with our parents. Inside my father's smirk faded when he saw that the kid's mom was his boss. FML
Teenage riot
Today, I finally had it with the redneck bully who's been tormenting me. He was repeatedly poking and pinching me and laughing out loud during class, so I slung him to the ground, pinning him. I got suspended. They only called his parents, who never do anything; my "caring" parents are looking into teen boot camp. FML
Today, I fought back with words against a bully. He cried, and I got detention. FML
Today, I finally confronted my bully. Too bad it was at my high school reunion and he beat the shit out of me. FML
Wonky logic
Today, I got my ass beat by some kid in my grade. The reason I was targeted? The superintendent, aka my idiot father, suspended him for defending himself in another fight. The kid told me it's not personal, he needed to prove a point that our school doesn't do shit about bullying, As much as I agree with him… FML
Evil will always win
Today, I was suspended from school for “being involved in a fight.” The other girl beat me up while I didn't do anything to defend myself, for fear of getting in trouble. She got off scot free. FML
Today, a girl I've never met before came up to me and punched me in the face, because she wanted to get suspended. FML
Don't Fight Club
Today, I stood up to the school bully in a fight. Rather than thank me, the whole school, including some of his victims, now treat me like a psycho. Apparently they tolerated him because of his terrible foster parents, so me hitting him was actually way out of line, and insensitive. How did I become the bad guy here? FML

You may have gotten suspended, but he now know what you can and will do. Don't see this entirely as a problem, as it may have been your solution.

Are you kidding me? Even if he stops I think that you need to take that information to someone higher to get that put in order. He bullies YOU all the time and gets away with it. And when you defend yourself YOU get in trouble? Tell me how that is supposed to be even remotely right.

My folks told me to do what you did OP, and even if I got suspended they'd be proud of me for standing up for myself. So I feel your pain.

I hate bullies...it's good to know you are sticking up for yourself while other people that are getting bullied can't. Good job! Definitely proud of you!

Sad, that's how schools are these days. They say "always come to a trusted adult if you're being bullied" but they don't do shit. Sorry op.

Not these days, schools have always been this way. Young men have always had to fight to exert their personal dominance and secure their place in the hierarchy. This is as primative as it gets.
