Today, I drove over 200km from Dublin to Galway, with a broken window. It rained for most of the journey. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Road trip
Today, after we drove to France to go to a jazz festival, we'd arrived in the evening after a 600 km drive, and my wife made a misstep and broke her ankle, it's the next day and we drove back home. After the first toll booth, the electric car window would no longer go up, so we drove with the window open for the remaining 500 km. FML
Today, I had to endure a long drive from Poland to England. We weren't allowed to open our windows. My mum threw up. Twice. FML
Today, my entire region received record rainfall, with torrential downpours all day and night. Today was also the day I discovered my car's sunroof leaks, when I was greeted with two inches of standing water in my floorboards. FML
Goddamn it
Today, I came back from a 700-mile round trip. I hit a massive pothole I couldn't avoid and blew out a tire and bent my rim. I was less than a mile from my house. FML
Today, as a learner driver, I embarked on my longest drive ever: back home, from Sydney to Melbourne, which is around a 700km drive. I managed to get the whole way without any problems. I crashed into my driveway. FML
Today, we had our first rainstorm in weeks. Thirty seconds before it started, my window broke in the "down" position from overuse, since last week the air conditioning in my car gave out. Now I have a hot, wet car. FML
Today, I couldn't get into my car. In an attempt to get in, I broke a window. As I climbed in, the actual owner of the car walked up. Mine was across the street. FML
Great organization
Today, while leaving late for work, I walked out to my car only to find the back window broken. Worst part was, I still had to go to work because no one who could cover me showed up. FML
Long haul
Today, I was driving to visit my parents for the first time in two years. After spending about $4000 to make sure my car wouldn't break down on the journey, around the halfway point, the front tire popped and the engine blew out. I'm about 5 states away from both my parents and my home. FML
Today, while parked at school, someone broke into my car by smashing the window. I called the police and they informed me I could drive it to the local station as it was an easy 2 minute drive. As I was driving there, I got pulled over for driving with a smashed window. FML

It's Ireland in February. 'Raining' is the default weather.

The trip must've been worth it. You should've checked out the weather report. Its not like you didnt know about your faulty window.

OP, your story is a real down pour. Wetter you believe it or not, the sun will come out tomorrow and dry those soaked seats. You should dry off and don't let the rain drop your spirit. I am not trying to shower you in too much supportive and encouraging thoughts but your mood seems to be in the gutter.

He could have driven to the store, bought duct-tape and garbage bags, then driven to some place with a roof, like a gas station. Seal the window shut and be on his way. Well thats what I would do, I'm not the kind of person to just sit in the moment and complain about it.

I wish it were raining here so that everyone would stop asking why my pants are always wet.

Why did you name the cities? They mean nothing to anyone outside Ireland.
MadameLaura 2

...but it's an exception if you're american and so say something like "from oregon to new jersey" or something like that. cos, y'know, you're american and everyone in the world must know the exact geographic location of every city and state. ps i know you're irish, this was aimed at most americans :)

What are you talking about-I'm American and know both cities. What American doesn't know Dublin? Are you retarded or just dumb? Stop giving Americans a bad rep.

are you calling americans stupid? Saying we dont know cities elsewhere? gfy.

totally agree with #29, I'm aussie and I wish I had a dollar for everytime i heard a social conversation start about how most but not all americans know next to nothing about anything outside their own borders, it's a widely shared opinion with a lot of people in australia..
