Today, my boyfriend bought me Cards Against Humanity because he thinks it would give me some motivation to make friends since I only have one and need three to play. Sad thing is, he's right. FML
Today, I was on my period, so I felt a little emotional, and asked my boyfriend for some attention. He said he needed ten minutes to finish his game with his friend. I laid down on the floor and started crying hysterically. He broke up with me and left. FML
Today, I decided to give my boyfriend one last chance at fixing our failing relationship. Instead of talking about how to fix our dying relationship, he decided to game all day and ignore me. FML

Today, after weeks of my yelling, my boyfriend finally listened and got a hobby. Instead of getting into something sensible like martial arts, he chose tabletop gaming. Now I have to listen to hours of boring stories about pretend fantasy worlds, and admit to everyone that my boyfriend is a nerd. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were planning how to spend the day together. When I suggested we start off with some fun in bed, then get some pizza and play his favorite video game, he sighed, "Can't we just go straight to gaming?" FML
Today, I beat my boyfriend in a video game. He promptly dumped me and told me to leave. FML
Today, after I spent two hours trying to teach my girlfriend to play sudoku, she broke up with me, tearfully claiming that I'd made up a fake, imaginary game to make her feel stupid. FML
Today, my mom found a new favorite game. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of a year and still have not been able to find a job (months after graduating college). Due to this stress I cry easily, her game? Seeing how many times a day she can make me boo-hoo. FML

If you actually want to be a game designer, you need to be able to take criticism. There are a lot of good board games and your first board game is not going to be one of them. When my friend wanted me to playtest his game, my criticism amounted to an entire rewrite of the rules of the game. If this would upset you enough to curl up in a ball, you need to rethink what you want to do.

When my friend wanted me to playtest his game, my criticism amounted to an entire rewrite of the rules of the game. Why do people assume OP cannot take criticism. There is a world of difference between constructive feedback that actually improves the game (even if this results in complete rewrites of rules) and burning someones ideas to the ground. It is entirely possible that the boyfriend was a dick, shitted on the whole premise of the game and basically told his SO it sucked. I take criticism well and search to receive it from peers explicitly, but I can still be hurt if people are just rude or flatout mean and that never helps the project.

Ask someone else. He is probably holding your game to a very high standard if he loves board games and has zero EQ
