Today, I arrived at my apartment to find the door kicked in. Inside, I found my TV, Xbox, stereo, CDs, and laptop had all been stolen. When my roommate got home, I told him about it, to which he replied, "Yeah, I left my keys inside this morning, so I kicked the door in to get them." He'd left, leaving the door kicked in. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
On the hook
Today, I lost my keys. My roommate locked me out, then yelled at me when I made her come home to let me in. I tore my room apart searching for them, and even went out to search my locker room. When I got home, I glanced at my wall only to find my keys hanging on the hook I set up specifically for them. FML
Today, I took my new laptop into my house from my car, thinking it would be a too much of a target for kids grabbing it. I came home tonight to find my door kicked in, my laptop gone and my TV ripped from the wall. FML
Panic mode
Today, I locked my keys in the house. I panicked so hard and immediately started kicking the door, desperate to get my keys. My boyfriend, who I forgot was staying over, woke up and opened the door right as I kicked it, and the door smashed into his face. FML
Today, I left a note on the kitchen table saying to leave the door unlocked because I lost my key. I come home to find our house ransacked and robbed. Minutes later, I found my key. In my pocket. FML
iPod Classic, 7th Gen, 160 Go, the best ever
Today, after a long workout I come back to my locker, to find my lock had been cut. I looked inside realizing my phone and iPod had been stolen. If that wasn't bad enough, my keys were gone. I ran out to the parking lot to find an empty spot where my car had once been parked. FML
Today, I came home to find that my house had been broken into. The items stolen were my PS3, cell phone, laptop, tablets, and for some reason my deodorant and pillowcases as well. FML
Messy
Today, I was playfully walking back to my car with my girlfriend. My door was unlocked. I then noticed my car had stuff scattered inside. A bum had just robbed and ransacked my car. FML
Today, while I was in the shower, I heard a door slam. Assuming it was my fiancé, I shouted "I love you!" I later opened the bathroom door to see my stereo and television missing. I'd said "I love you" to whoever robbed my apartment. FML
Today, I came home to find that my roommate had picked my lock and stolen my new laptop. When I tried to take it back, he called the police. They sided with him since he had also taken the receipt, which was "proof" that it was his. FML
Today, my house was broken into. How? My mom left a key under a flower pot on the porch. She also left a note on the door saying so. He stole all of my guitars. FML

it's impossible to kick a door down, the force breaks your heel. that why the army has metal padded boots so they van do that.

#35, It is not impossible to kick a door in. I should know, I've had to do it twice in my life, both times I was in high school. Now if you're talking "kick a door off it's hinges", I might believe you. Just just kicking a locked door open, at the OP seemed to suggest, is actually pretty easy.

Ever hear of renter's insurance?

I'm not sure renters' insurance has a "my roommate is a ******* idiot" clause.

1. Make him pay you back for all the things that were stolen. 2. Get a new roommate that won't do that again.

Make him pay for the damages And why are people hating on the people that say 1st? If that is how they get their excitement for the day so be it

This guy needs to pay for the damages. If he balks, take him to court. I've seen stuff like this get settled in favor of the petitioner (who would be you in this case) in under five minutes. (I'm a court reporter.) In California, most courthouses have a self-help center that has resources to assist you in filing such an action. I don't know about Tennessee, but it's worth checking out. I usually tell people to hire attorneys instead of doing it themselves, but this is IMO such a slam-dunk that you might well be able to push it through on your own.
