Today, I adopted my second dog. When I called to tell my mom about it, she sternly told me that I was not allowed to get any more dogs. I'm 28 and own my own house. FML

Today, my parents finally fulfilled my childhood dream and got a puppy, after years of me nagging at them. The only downside is that I no longer live at home and he's not mine. FML
Today, my mom bought me a puppy. I’m single, I work 14 hour days, my life is in no way suitable for pet ownership, but mom won’t take him back because she thinks I need to learn adult responsibility. I’m a senior technician with a team of 17 people, I couldn’t be more responsible if I tried. FML
Today, I was talking to my mom about when I have kids. I told her I may want two or three. She immediately cut me off and told me to stick to one, and that any more than that will be a burden. I am the second born child of my family. FML
Today, I realized I have more dogs than I do friends. I have two dogs. FML
Today, my mother informed me that she sold my dog to pay off some bills. FML
Today, I got a puppy. I just found out I can't bring it on the family trip. To save me the trouble of finding a friend to take her in, my mum handed her back to the pound. FML
Today, I got a phone call saying I was no longer a bridesmaid for a wedding in June. It's my mom's 4th wedding. I'm getting replaced by our dog. FML
Today, my mom is pissed and grounded me when I didn’t show girlish, squealing enthusiasm when she went out and came home with a dog; a big dog. I hate dogs, there is no creature I despise more than dogs. I prefer spiders to dogs, and she knows this. FML
Today, my girlfriend got evicted for having too many dogs. She expects me to let her and all 5 dogs live in my one-bedroom apartment. When I told her no, that I’d get evicted too, she said that should be a sacrifice I’m willing to make for “our family” if I really loved her. They aren’t even my dogs. FML
Today, my mother locked me out of the house. Why? The dog and her needed some time to talk. FML

I moved out of my moms house, with my boyfriend, a little over a year ago.. Even though my mom treats me like an adult in every other way now, she still freaks out everytime I "skip" school, even when I'm not skipping, I'm really just sick.. And then she has me list every symptom that I have to make sure I'm actually sick, and not making it up or whatever..

Agreed! My boyfriend is nearly 22, hasn't lived with his parents for well over a year, earns his own money and pays his own bills yet his parents think they can tell him what they can and can't do! They tried to stop us booking a holiday because they didn't approve!
