Today, at school, I saw the guy I like at his locker. I decided to run up from behind and surprise him. I ended up accidentally slamming his locker on his fingers. FML

Today, I was in school when I spotted my girlfriend in the hallway. I wanted to be all romantic and grab her like guys do in movies. I grabbed her wrist forcefully and pulled her out of the crowd. As I quickly leaned in to kiss her, I broke her nose. FML
Today, at work, I decided to try and impress this girl walking behind me by holding the door open for her. As she was walking through, I inadvertently pulled the door too hard. It slammed against the wall and ricochet back, hitting her right in the face. FML
Today, I tried to "trip" and fall into this guy I've had a crush on. I missed and fell on my face. He stepped over me and kept walking. FML
Today, I was in the cafeteria at a table near the guy I like. He was playing around with a ball with a couple of his friends. They dropped it, and it rolled over next to my foot. When I bent down to pick it up, I smashed my head against a chair. FML
Today, I was on my run, running past the home of the very attractive guy in my English class. This time he was outside. As I was running I casually waved, he waved back, but because I was distracted, I didn't notice a rock on the sidewalk and ended up tripping and pantsing myself. FML
Today, I was walking to class, when a kid came up behind me and smacked me in the face a few times until I fell to the ground. I rolled over and he said, "Oh shit! Wrong person, my bad." FML
Today, I was in a hurry trying to get into my locker, but it stuck. After a few frustrating attempts, I finally managed to get it open. In anger, I threw the door open, but it bounced back and hit me in the head. My natural reflex was to jerk forward, giving myself a black eye from the hook inside. I got in a fight with my locker and lost. FML
Today, I was walking through a heavy door at work, so I reached behind me to catch it so it wouldn't slam shut. Little did I know that my boss was walking through right after me. Instead of catching the door, I caught a handful of his crotch. FML
Today, I was terribly late for class, so I rushed to the classroom door, thinking it was unlocked. I smacked face-first into the glass, and awkwardly fell to the floor. Once I got back up, I peeked through the glass, only to realise it wasn't even my class. FML
Today, at work, I was walking to the back office, and I didn't know my manager was following me. After I walked through the door, without looking, I reached behind me to close it. Instead of grabbing the door handle, I got a handful of his crotch. FML

I'm sure if you know him well enough it wasn't too big of a deal. Just laugh it off and make it up to him. (: Text him and say "Sorry about the other day, I hope your fingers aren't damaged too bad. Perhaps I could make it up to you by taking you out to lunch?" There is always a way to turn a seemingly unredeemable disaster into an opportunity. (:

70 - Just a few things: 1: Thread-jacking = not cool 2: It takes a while for these things to get through moderation; it could have been submitted yesterday 3: Every FML is required to start with "Today" regardless of when it actually happened. This could have happened two years ago for all we know. 4: Some rare school systems/private schools/specialty schools actually do have Saturday classes

youre right! before we dated, my now boyfriend tossed a pepsi bottle at me nonchalantly and it ended up smacking my face and swelling my lip. After three years of dating, and we still laugh about the incident. dont worry OP, it can happen!

I can't tell if it was originally "all one chances" and was edited or if sir pie corrected it incorrectly however the best way to say it would have been "lost all chance"

'Sir pie' was pointing out that this was one incident; one encounter; one chance. There is nothing in the original post saying or implying that there were prior chances- so saying 'lost all chances' is not exactly correct. I've also noticed that every time 'sir pie' comments, you seem to comment right after. Stalker out admirer, let's let the FMLers decide.
