Today, after days of cleaning out pantry cabinets and throwing away infested food, I thought I had finally gotten rid of my moth problem. Then I vacuumed, and saw several dozen larvae coming out of my carpet. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Home invasion
Today, after already living with two wasps' nests, as well as gnats that plague our flower pots, we've also discovered moths in our pantry, who've ruined all of the food. FML
Home invasion !
Today, I woke up to find my entire lounge floor crawling with maggots. Our whole house is clean, and they’re big enough to be days old, yet showed up overnight. I still have no idea where they’ve come from. FML
Today, I polished off the delicious iced gingerbread cookies in the pantry. I'd assumed the little flecks on them were speckles of broken icing, but as I went to throw the cookie bag away, a larva crawled out. The hundreds of flecks were moth eggs. I've been eating the cookies for three days. FML
Germs
Today, I finally put away two weeks worth of clean laundry, only to get to the bottom of the pile and find mice droppings. I now have to wash my whole wardrobe, bed linen, and towels with disinfectant (On top of sanitising my furniture and floors). FML
Today, I learned that my house's fly infestation is worse than I thought. I now have maggots crawling and dropping from my ceiling. I have to sleep under them. FML
Today, I was cleaning my room when I found a nice surprise from my cat. While I was on vacation, she killed a mouse. By the time I found it, there were maggots crawling in my carpet. FML
Horrible little things
Today, after three visits from exterminators and another from a steam cleaner, I still have bedbugs. FML
Today, I woke up after a long night of trying to catch a moth. I'd knocked down furniture and screamed up the house to do so, but I finally got it. What did I see first thing this morning? Another moth. FML
Sorry, dude
Today, I got up and started getting ready for work. As I entered the bathroom, I noticed a moth in the shower. Feeling generous, I caught the moth in a cup and took it to the front porch. I released the moth and watched it fly away… into a giant spider and its web. FML
Today, I found a mealworm in my cornflakes. I had already finished most of the bowl. I didn't make it to the toilet to throw up. FML

I think you need an exterminator. That sounds like a pretty bad infestation

Do you happen to live in a cabin in the woods?

I would at least be happy it isn't like wasps or spiders or some bug that can actually hurt you.

Those moths are horrible. After I cleaned, I found some in a sealed tin of tea. Make sure you start putting everything in sealed containers from now on.

Best thing to do is freeze everything you buy for at least a day. I had some come in with some rabbit food, literally nothing is safe, it's awful!

18, or just freeze yourself and tell someone to unfreeze you once moths go extinct.

I find bug bombs work wonders with that sort of thing. Usually gets the job done and a hell of a lot cheaper than an exterminator.

Nope. Burn it. Burn it with fire.

#20 And they will burn as well.

Definite cringeworthy moment

Burn the house down. That's the only reasonable solution.

No don't do that. As someone already pointed out the flames would attract more moths.

how often do you clean that it ended up getting that bad?

that's got to be incredibly frustrating!!! you could try moth balls perhaps? or a bug bomb as suggested earlier. hope you get the issue resolved.
