Today, after a full shift at work, I got home to my boyfriend playing CoD, a full sink, crap all over the table, a full cat box, dirty bathroom, no laundry done and the kids at my parents' house. He yelled at me because the place was a mess. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I left my husband in charge of the house for a day. When I returned, I saw him gaming through the window, so I stormed in and yelled at him. Then, my eyes adjusted, and I saw the neatly folded laundry, clean kitchen, vacuumed rugs, and my son, who was asleep until I woke him. Whoops. FML
Today, while my parents were grocery shopping, I cleaned the kitchen, swept floors, did laundry, and cleaned bathrooms, only to finish right before they got home. After dinner, my dad bitched and complained that I didn't take out the trash and he had no room to throw away his paper plate. FML
Today, after a short trip out of town, I came back late at night to the yard clean, the house swept and mopped, all the laundry done, and my son asleep. I was thrilled with my boyfriend, until I found him passed out, covered in spilled beer and piss. FML
Today, my boyfriend yelled at me from the other room for washing the dishes "too loudly". FML
Today, I came home after ten hours at work to find my unemployed wife and 4 kids sprawled out watching TV waiting for me to get home and cook for them. I had to wash all the dishes first because they didn't feel like getting up or helping. FML
Today, at home, I always do my share of the chores. I just got back from a business trip and it turns out that I actually do ALL the chores. My wife was alone for 9 days, the kitchen was a in state, dirty laundry everywhere, cat litter box overflowing onto the floor, and the bathroom was fucking disgusting. FML
Today, after my man told me to get the dishes done and clean up the kitchen, he got mad at me because I didn’t answer my phone when our son needed medicine that was downstairs. I didn’t hear it ring because I was throwing out the trash, cleaning out the fridge, and washing the dishes, like I was told to do. FML
Today, I came home to pandemonium: the kids screaming, the house a mess, wet laundry, no food made, and my wife in her office. After cleaning, making dinner, putting everything away, and getting the kids to sleep, I grabbed myself a beer. My wife saw it and said, "You're kidding, right?" FML
Today, after a long talk with the kids, I finally got all the chores around the house done early so we could have a fun family weekend. My wife decided to be a wet blanket and insisted we needed to deep clean the already clean kitchen. Three arguments later, everyone is sulking, and I'm working in the kitchen alone. FML
Today, after I had the place to myself for a while and it was easy to clean, my roommate returned and I woke up to trash piling up, dishes everywhere, and luggage full of sweaty laundry. Oh, and it smells like poo again, because he doesn't regularly shower. I want to scream. FML

he is your boyfriend, not your maid! i would be pissed about being yelled at because of the mess, but i certainly would not expect him to clean up and maintain your place when he is not even married to you, unless this is a same sex relationship in which case if you maintain your house like that already it is beyond me why you would adopt kids to add on to the work load

Unless... you know, the boyfriend MADE the mess. In which case he should absolutely be the one picking it up. OR, if they are long term and living together and just not married, it should still be an effort from both not just the OP to keep the house clean and take care of the kids.

there's nothing stopping them from separating if he isn't keeping up his end of the deal, but if he's there to care for the kids, why on earth would they have the kids in the first place? they seem to be the source of the problem if they are the ones who are holding everyone else back, but of course he didn't use a condom and she couldn't keep her legs closed so bam, a couple little monsters to make their lives worse, plus from the way it sounds, our hard earned money is going right out of our paychecks and into paying for their xbox

also would it kill you to keep your legs closed, if the children are the source of the problem you should have used a condom or some other form of sexual protection, or there is always the abortion route, if your already to far in you could always put them up for adoption

yes but she would most likely not have to deal with him if they did not have the kids, she prob relies on him to help support the kids, therefore there is no way for him to get away, or else she will take him to court and create a huge fuss, yet she prob will not let him go just because she wants to hold power over him :P
