Today, after a busy afternoon taking care of the kids, I was feeling really down about only being a mom these days, and I was hoping my husband would make me feel better when he got off work. In the middle of cuddling, he called me "mom." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was sleeping with my boyfriend and woke up in his arms to hear him say "Mom, Mom." FML
It's teamwork
Today, I'm home, taking care of my kids and keeping the house in order, so that my working wife is able to relax but she doesn't appreciate me at all and hates that I'm not like her best friend's wealthy husband, even though I do my best, and really wish I could be the breadwinner in the family. FML
Today, I got back home from work and casually asked my dad, "What's up?" He casually replied, "Wishing I'd had a son instead." and stared glassy-eyed at me until I left the room. FML
Mostly OK
Today, I told my parents how grateful I am for having them in my life and that not many kids are as lucky as me. My mom texted me after I went out 10 minutes later: "Are you OK? You seemed depressed earlier." FML
911 is a joke
Today, I came home from work. I was really tired and told my son that I would make him dinner later. He called the cops saying, "Mommy won't feed me." FML
I'm an empath
Today, after opening up to my husband about my mental struggles after a difficult birth, I shed a few tears. He left me there to go take a nap. FML
Today, my boyfriend laid his head on my bare chest and said, "You're like my mother." FML
Today, I realized that both my husband and son refer to me as "the bitch." FML
The great replacement
Today, my ex-husband came to pick up our two kids for his weekend with them. Seeing his new girlfriend was in the car, and desperate for conversation, I asked her name. My kids unhesitatingly blurted out, "Mom". FML
Love U 2
Today, for some unknown reason, I called my boss "Mum" at the end of a meeting. She paused, smiled, and said, "Aww, love you too, kiddo." The rest of the team in the room lost it. FML

You got kids and a husband who likes to cuddle and has a job. Some people will go looking for reasons to be depressed.

My parents sometimes call eachother Mom and Dad. I don't know if this is normal for anyone else, but it is for me.

30 - Hey, now. Harsh much? My parents call each other "mom" and "dad" in front of me all the time. It's no biggie.

Can anybody say "Awkward?"

OP don't be so down! There's no FML in this story if you consider that your husband is expressing love for and trust in you.

It sounds like life could be a lot worse

Sorry i didn't go off into a whole paragraph with long and unnecessary points which would say nothing more than, her life isn't that bad

3- No shit huh? Its like these dumbasses want stories of death and war and shit.

Not at all. I just think this isn't an FML I mean she's depressed so what. I've rolled my ankle for the 3rd time in a week, however I wouldn't even consider that an FML just life

When I was little, my dad called my mom, Mom. So don't feel bad.

Yea, in my family, we all call our grandma "Grandma", even her kids

At one time or another, I've call a lot of people "mom" by accident.

45- I've called one of my male teachers "mom" once. That's a bad sign.

Having kids doesn't mean your old... Have you ever watched 16 and pregnant?
JustKittyKat 24
She never mentioned feeling old. She is tired of just being, "mom".

A hobby like painting or finding a gym that teaches dance can help you feel better. Sounds like you need "you" time.

Only being a mom? You've got a child (or children) that love you, a husband who cares, and you're feeling down about it? Some people don't have families. You're also a wife, and a friend to lots of people! (:

She's not necessarily feeling down about being a mom. It's more the fact that being a mom is ALL she is. Everyone needs a little me time. I meant have you ever spent hours taking care of kids? I'm not saying kids are bad or anything, I actually love being around them. But after hours of taking care of them, you need time to be someone other than mom or the babysitter or whatever position you're in while taking care of the kids. I babysat my 3 of my cousins all under the age of 7 for 8 hours yesterday, and by the end I was ready to go and be anywhere else but with them. I don't think she loves them any less, she just needs an opportunity to Not be mom for a few minutes.

28- so, in other words, she needs a girls night out! Or a date night with the husband. Maybe OP could get a babysitter for a night and go out to have some fun!
