Today, a woman who I have spoken to approximately twice in my life, asked me out. I turned her down in the most harmless way I could. Three hours later, I found my car keyed and my windshield wipers gone. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Targeted
Today, I parked three streets away despite the ungodly cold. I did this because in the past, on my street, I have had my car keyed, my tires slashed, and my side view mirror ripped off. When I went back out to my car, I found that someone had broken off my windshield wipers. FML
Overreaction
Today, I accidentally hit someone's car while in the supermarket car park. I left a note, went shopping, and when I came back my windows were shattered, my tires were slashed, and "FUCK YOU" was written on my windshield. FML
Karen strikes again
Today, a woman maced me from her car window because I was approaching her in a menacing, rapist kind of way. She never happened to consider that my car was in the parking spot right next to hers. She didn’t apologise, just said it was my fault for looking like a rapist, and drove away leaving me half blind. FML
What the F, lady?
Today, the girl I went on an awkward date with two weeks ago showed up at university and started smashing my car with a bat. She then broke down in tears and alternated between declaring her love, and cussing me out for "cheating" on her. FML
Foolproof plan
Today, after my windshield wipers being stolen twice in a row, I decided to hide in my car to catch the thief. I fell asleep. When I woke up, the new wipers were gone. FML
Today, it's been two weeks since I honked, screamed, and cussed at a cyclist on the road. Since then, my car has been keyed, my tires have been slashed, bricks have been thrown at my windows, and my number has been put on Craigslist as a gay prostitute. FML
Today, I met a girl at a bar. After buying her a few drinks, we decided to head back to her place. Not wanting to leave either of our cars, I followed her home. While driving, she sent me text because she missed her exit. I tried to text her back something witty and instead rear ended her. FML
Today, I went for a drive to clear my head of relationship issues. That night, I got pulled over. Lost the car and my license. I texted my girlfriend, saying I was sorry; she left. Lost her too. FML
Today, I was sitting in a parked car. A woman was having difficulties maneuvering out. She honked the horn repeatedly for me to move, then looked me in the eye and called me a "f**king bitch", before driving off. I was in the passenger seat. FML
Public freakout
Today, while driving into work, a guy cut me off and I yelled some nasty things out of my window at him. He heard me, followed me to work, took a baseball bat out and then chased me into the office. He also smashed my windshield on his way out. FML

Well at least you avoided dating that! I hope that's the extent of her craziness though.

You have her number. Find her address and report it to the police.

Sounds like you made the right choice. Can you imagine what it would have been like after dating?

Later that night, she wrote angrily in her blog about how men are misogynist scum and how she wishes a plague would just come and wipe them all out.

I'd give her a call the next day and cry her a river as to how I lost my car's vipers just to see what she'd reply with, lol.

How do you know it was her? Maybe you were an ass to someone else. Or maybe someone else just wanted to be an ass

I will never understand why people think this sort of thing is okay. Girl gets turned down by Guy, trashes his car. Guy gets turned down by girl, threatens to shoot her. Then a lot of people have the gall to say the person who rejected the criminal was the one in the wrong. People need to get over this bullshit idea that just because they ask someone out they have the "right" to said date. Seriously, that person does not owe you a date, their number, or anything like that just because you asked them for it, and them denying the request does not mean that you should threaten, harass, or otherwise attack them. Plus, if someone is attacked because they refused romantic and/or sexual advances from an aggressor, it is not their fault. Saying it is their fault is not only absolving the aggressor of their guilt in attacking their victim, but placing the blame upon the victim.

...Everyone who is sane already knows this, and the people who aren't are not going to be swayed by logical arguments. It's not like this behaviour is socially accepted or lawful, so what exactly do you propose we do about it?
GhostFox 34
Except that sanity isn't the same as morality, and there are plenty of people who are sane that still believe this kind of behavior is appropriate. As for what to do about it, bringing up that someone has the right to reject someone else without fear of retaliation when situations like this come up is a good start.

Can you be sure that the girl trashed your car? Or maybe it was just a horrible coincidence?
