Today, my boyfriend of 9 years rode with his mother after boot camp graduation. She acts more like a jealous lover than a mom, so I'm currently chasing them all over Chicago in a blizzard, with her refusing to stop the car so he can see me. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
MILF Manor
Today, I found out that, for over three years, my boyfriend has solely been dating me to get closer to my mom. Apparently, "she's a total MILF." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I spent all day preparing an amazing meal for my extended family, and then 3 hours before dinner his crazy mother forced him home because she felt "excluded". He's spent the past 3 days with her. There's no way for me to keep him and get rid of her. FML
Shut up
Today, my boyfriend's mother who lives with us decided that since I work from home, it would be a good idea for her to stay home and keep me company. "Keeping me company" includes ordering me to make her food, gossiping non stop, and ridiculing me for not being the woman that she always saw her son marrying. FML
Dodged a landmine
Today, my boyfriend introduced me to his mom, but she decided I was “unsuitable.” I hoped he’d be on my side. Nope, he just accepted her word as law, broke up with me, and pushed me outside. He'd driven me there, so I had to find a bus in a city I’ve never been to, in the dark, without a coat. FML
No thanks
Today, my girlfriend's mother is more into me than she is. FML
Cling Alert
Today, my boyfriend has helicopter parents. He offered to take me out on a date for Valentine's Day, but there's one condition: his mother has to be there the whole time. He's 17 years old. FML
Motormouth
Today, my boyfriend and I were riding in the back seat of his mom’s car and she kept talking at him non-stop. He responded only in grunts. When at some point I informed her that her son had been asleep for several minutes, she just kept on talking to him anyway. FML
Today, my boyfriend's car broke down on the way to the gym, so he called his dad to give us a ride. On the way, his dad talked about how much he hates me and our relationship, as if I wasn’t sitting in the back seat directly behind them. FML
The mask slips
Today, my boyfriend is always telling me I haven’t met his real mother yet, even though I’ve known her a year. However, when I happened to disagree with her today, she started screaming and hitting like a psycho. He had to wrestle her out the door. I get it now; I’ve now met his “real” mother. FML
Mommy issues
Today, my mother is such a nosy, intruding busybody, she has driven away my last three boyfriends who could no longer stand her. My latest fella had even proposed, but he asked for the ring back and you can bet he blamed my mother for repeatedly involving herself in our private business. FML

yeah you can blame his mom all you want but if you been dating for 9 years he is an adult so if he hasn't scene you yet got nothing to do with his mother...

And your boyfriend is allowing it. So, what does that tell you?

Don’t be so thirsty. Just go home and have a deep-dish pizza, watch the Cubbies and let him come see you.

Go home. Wait for him to call you. I know you want to see him greatly however give him time to say hi to his mother!

If he's not able to deal with his mom and be with you, he's either a huge Momma's Boy, or he's still afraid of her. Without clarification, it's hard to know if he went in her car willingly, or is too much of a coward to turn her down, and ride with his girlfriend. Based on information you provided, he doesn't sound like he's worth it, because he probably won't change. As for his mom, if she's been like this the whole time you've been with her son, I'm surprised she's let you stick around for so long. If this is fairly recent behavior, she may have had something happen to change her personality, or the "jealous lover" thing might not be as unlikely as you think. Whatever the truth is, and again, we need more info than this, chasing after them in a blizzard wasn't exactly smart.

Where was this boot camp, the Weenie Hut? If he can't get away from his mum to spend time with his girl of nine years, he might just not want to get out of momma's lap. Consider this and stop chasing after him like he's the last man on Earth.

Believe me. If he really wanted to see you he would have made her stop.
