Today, a little girl I give horse-riding lessons to told me she had saved up $8.00 for her own pony. I laughed and thought how cute she was, then realized that was more than I have in my own savings account. FML

Today, I realized that my 5 year old son has more money saved up in his piggy bank than I have in my actual bank account. FML
Today, my 7 year-old daughter was counting all the money she made over the weekend from her lemonade stand. She made sixty dollars and said now she has more money than I do. She's right. FML
Today, my sister, who has "borrowed" almost nine hundred dollars from me over the last few months, told me I was pathetic for not having my driver's license yet and that I "wasn't normal". I was saving that money for my driving lessons. FML
Today, a lady I know gave my 3 year-old daughter a little coin purse, saying, "Your mum can put some money in that for you." My daughter responded, "But mummy has no money." I would have laughed, had it not been spot on. FML
Today, I realized that the closest thing I have to a savings account is the cup on my dresser with coins in it. I counted it, $17.34. That is my savings. I'm 28. FML
Today, I learned that my daughter pocketed the money I'd paid so she could go to college. FML
Today, I took my daughter to a pony ride at the fair. I paid to have her picture taken, and when we got home, I emailed it to my mom. She replied, disgustedly pointing out that the pretty little pony was displaying a pretty little penis. FML
Today, my second-grade daughter asked her teacher how much money she makes. FML
Today, I checked my bank account that I've been saving money in since I was a kid for college. I have $100 left out of the $10,000 I had last month. Apparently my parents thought buying a pool and an HDTV for themselves was more important than my college education. FML
Today, I gave my niece a $100 bill instead of a $10 so she could buy ice cream. When I realized my mistake, she never returned it but thanked me and gave me a big hug. Now I don't have money for gas or food all week. FML

Considering her user name is iHateBeingaStudent, I would assume that's her part time job while she's in college. College seems to get really expensive so I believe she doesn't have any money left because of that.

Student loads may cost a lost due to interest ,but the reality is that you'll only be paying an almost insignificant amount for it each month for a long time, and considering you'll get a degree at the end of it, they're good.

Savings accounts and bank accounts are two different things. She could have a decent amount of money in her bank to substain all her interests (bills, food, animals, activities). It doesn't mean she has to have an amazing savings account too. We don't know her or her situation well enough to say wether she deserves this or not. Though, the girl sounds very cute. I wanted to buy a horse when I was just a little girl and tried saving up, think I got like $10 and gave up cause my mother told me she would never allow me to own one.

Not having money is Norma these days yea your supposed to have 300 in savings and 200 in checking at all times but who actually does that these days. Comparing your savings when you have bills to pay to a little girls who gets an allowance doesnt have anything to spend it on and has her parents buy her stuff for her is just being whiny. But I guess you could say It sucks that you dont have a savings I don't either but at least you are able to sustain yourself.
