Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I found out that my stick figure drawing passed as homework during my doctoral level seminar. I'm paying over two thousand dollars for this course. FML
Today, I was working on my art portfolio. I had drawn a self-portrait. When I was satisfied, I wanted to show my parents. They thought it was a drawing of a bear. FML
Today, I had to do a still life of a pillowcase for my drawing class. To make up for bad grades I've gotten before, I followed my professor's directions to a T. He took 19 points off because I drew the background when no one else did. We have to do it for every piece. FML
Today, while sitting on a bench drawing, some guy went up to me, yelled, “YOUR ART SUCKS” and flipped my sketchpad out of my hands. I’d been working on that piece for hours and now there’s a big black pencil streak on it. FML
Today, after nearly three weeks of hard work, I finally completed my best drawing yet, a self-portrait. I was incredibly excited to take it to class tomorrow. That is, until I came home from a walk later on, only to find my brother had drawn a stick figure on it, wanking into my face. FML
Today, I spent almost two hours drawing a scenery. I was tired halfway in and took a break. Came back to my room to see it getting scribbled on. FML
Today, I was in art class in which we were drawing mythical creatures. I spent the entire hour and a half drawing a Minotaur, which turned out extremely well. It turned out so well that the teacher thought I had traced it, and told me to start over right before the bell rang. FML
Today, my mother yelled at me for not doing all of my homework. She got so mad, she tore up a drawing I'd spent over a week working on. That was my art homework. FML
Today, during an interview, in my nervousness I accidentally handed the interviewer an A4 paper with my doodles and a grocery list instead of my resume. I guess they now know I need to buy more milk and have a questionable talent for drawing stick figures. FML
Today, I posted a picture of a drawing that I was so proud of on Twitter. It was the best drawing I’ve ever done. A few minutes later, someone commented saying, “What is this?” Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for me. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

Arson is usually frowned upon in universities.
boundbytheanimus 9
Arson is the burning of a building.
davidbdb485 0
Arson is the intentional burning of property, it doesn't only include structures, including your own. Ex: Setting your car on fire to collect insurance.
quite_bored 9
Arson is a very good kid.
Jbfu 0
Who the hell cares about arson and what it means? Just burn the damn thing!
boundbytheanimus 9
45, Ah, sorry?
MelTheGreat 23
You make a good point there, sir.
brown24eyes 0
you can probably get away with specifying that it's a 6B graphite stick
bizarre_ftw 22
Or this, this is good too (compared to my idea)

Hey 35! Fail!
eigelste 0
In case no one understood the joke, it's a charcoal drawing and charcoal is the best base for a fire.
nic7973 23
burn baby, burn
Strajee 23
35 was joking as in taking it that the OP of this comment meant the school and not the paper. I can't believe nobody caught on to his hilarity!

If we want to get our posts seen, we sure as hell do!
BeaterOfTheDrums 15
Yes. Without it, the idiots will ask the same question in rapid succession.

Yeah! You should've read the requirements first! Glad everyone one of us is on the same page! :)

Next time i would read the requirements first.
bizarre_ftw 22
Does anyone else think the op should've read the requirements a tad more closely?
xcarxcrashx 9
*the second but should have been bet I had to re-read it a couple of times to figure out what I meant.
capnbzarr 43
Or, in the parlance of our times, RTFM!
ElricMustang 23
YDI for not reading the requirements beforehand to make sure.

Always read the fine print... or, in your case, just the print.
KyuuketsukiApple 30
"small print" = small (but significant) details usually written in small letters
159_fml 17
Ydi you should of read the requirements before starting
FinnishAmerican 3
How many people need to say this? Lol geez.. Think of a unique comment
FinnishAmerican 3
Double post, my phone was being dumb
bizarre_ftw 22
I refer you to comment two and replies
Isoldael 27
Check the times these comments were posted. It's likely they all wrote their comments when there was no similar comment yet. So no need to bash these people :)
laden_swallow09 35
Here's a good reason to bash: it's SHOULD'VE, contraction of "should" and "have" respectively.
VeganVampyre 27
149- or just "should have"... Why the need for unnecessary contractions?
toenibbler 14
At least you'll have something to use next time you get a charcoal project.
crazy_whitechick 6
I worked really hard on a charcoal drawing just to find out that they will take any kind of art besides..... charcoal! Of course. They told me this 3 days before my audition.
akallaan 7
You will soon learn to read all the directions clearly when you get in college. Don't waste your time doing the assignment wrong. Good luck.
SecretMe00 5
College has nothing to do with it. You should fully read the directions before starting anything. They taught me that in elementary school..
akallaan 7
Yeah, but in elementary, well in my case, the teachers would point out the fine details.
bizarre_ftw 22
They teach you that in elementary school, but you don't learn it till high school (or in op's case, college)
coolstorybro6 6
Hand it in anyways
BeccaHugs 17
That is a terrible idea.
bizarre_ftw 22
Bad ideas make the best good ideas
evilteddybear 0
Not if they trace it with the required items :D
Kristoffer 35
YDI for not reading the instructions.
