Today, a guy in a fancy car tailed me for twenty minutes, just so he could take a picture of my license plate and tell me there's a $300 fine for flicking cigarette ashes out your window. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, while sitting at a red light with my window down, the asshat next to me flicked his still-lit cigarette away. It landed in my car and wedged between me and my seat. It burned a hole in my shirt and my seat, and burned my back and hair. FML
Today, I was smoking in my car and flicked the butt… into the face of a cop on a motorcycle going the other way. FML
Today, I was tailgated by a car with his high beams on for an hour. Any time I changed my speed or lane, he would do the same. I finally managed to get away from him because a cop pulled me over and gave me a speeding ticket. FML
Today, while driving I saw a police car riding along next to me. Thinking about the news recently, I decided to give him a quick thumbs up and a smile to lighten up his day. He looks back, smiles, flips on his siren, and pulls me over for not paying attention to the road. FML
Today, I was pulled over by a motorcycle cop for speeding in a 25 MPH zone. As the cop was walking towards my car, I flicked my cigarette butt out of my window. So, the cop did me the pleasure of writing me two tickets instead of one. FML
Today, a cop almost rear-ended my car, slammed on the gas with no warning, swerved around me, flipped me the bird, then cut me off and then drove a full ten miles under the speed limit. When I changed lanes to overtake him, he pulled me over for road rage. FML
Today, the car in front of me was going slow and I flashed my lights and honked. I floored it and passed the car, flipping off the driver. Just as I went around the next corner, I got pulled over by a motorcycle cop. A few seconds later, the guy I flipped off drove by honked and waved. FML
Today, after driving a few hours late at night I decided to entertain the car tailgating me by not letting him pass. After doing this for 3miles, reaching 93MPH, I decided to let the car pass me. When I switched lanes, the car tailgating me light up in red and blue. It was a cop. FML
Today, I was pulled over by a cop and was fined $210 for making an illegal u-turn. When the cop finished writing my ticket and hopped in his car, he made the same u-turn. FML
Today, I quit smoking cigarettes. While driving to work, the car in front of me flicked his out the window, flying straight into mine. It set the bottom of my seat on fire. FML

You don't have to get that close to tail and get someone's license plate cameras do have a zoom option and he could have gotten it when they stopped. But you should really stop throughout your buds out your window that's disgusting. If you can't wait to throw them in the garbage then stop smoking it will save you money anyways..

FAR better than getting pulled over by an unmarked cop car & getting a $300 ticket, I know he seemed like an ass but he DID save you $300...get one of those portable ashtrays that hang from your door (they're around $4) & stop littering & maybe becoming an arsonist which would give you a fine & a prison sentence. I'd have just taken a pic of your license plate & then reported you for being a selfish jerk. YDI & you deserve the fine too.

12, it's not a YDI for being a smoker..it's a YDI for littering & running the risk of starting a fire which would kill far more people/ destroy peoples houses than cig smoke wafting into a window. I had someone flick out their cig like that once and the wind blew it right in my window into my face. OP was a jerk for not using an ashtray, & therefore had NO right to complain. So it's more of a F the tailgaters life for having to deal with OP's "butt" in the first place. Your entitled to your opinion about smokers, however..your "YDI" to OP for being a smoker was unjustified, uncalled for & more importantly...invalid. :)
