Today, I received an email from the office of the apartment complex I moved into two months ago. Apparently, a woman a few apartments down from mine was murdered. Time to pack. FML

Today, I moved into my new apartment. My neighbor is apparently crazy and thinks I'm trying to 'steal' her husband. She watches me and is super paranoid. I have a two year lease. FML
Today, my apartment burned to the ground. I was packed and ready to move out tomorrow. FML
Today, I moved into a new apartment. While moving boxes, I ran into my supervisor from work. Guess who lives across the hall. FML
Today, an ambulance took away the woman from next door. I thought that the flat was empty since I’d never seen her, but turns out she’d been dead for 2 years. She died in bed, meaning every time I went to sleep in my bed she was only 2 feet away on the other side of the wall. I’m now super creeped out. FML
Today, one week after moving into my new apartment in a new city to get away from my stalker ex, I met my new neighbour. Yep, stalker ex. FML
Today, I came home to a noise complaint letter taped to my apartment door. I haven't been home in over a month. FML
Today, my downstairs neighbor died. I knew because the smell wafted up to my apartment. FML
Today, my abusive ex-husband thought it was a good idea to buy the house next door and start living there immediately. Looks like I gotta move. FML
Today, I found out who my randomly assigned roommate was. Out of 10,000+ people, I just happen to get assigned a girl who threatened to kill me. FML
Today, my abusive mom just moved into my house, within two weeks of me losing my job. FML

I'm so sorry you're dealing with anxiety from this tragedy. It may not be necessary to move though, if you can I would suggest working closely with a therapist to sort your feelings out, and also ask the police if this is expected to be ongoing, or if it was a crime of passion type deal.

I'd be a bit freaked out if a neighbor in my apartment complex were murdered, but why not ask what the apartment complex is doing to improve security?
