Today my auntie who helps run a HOA sent me out on a quick errand to deliver some fines. Now I know why she didn’t want to go herself. Several fines were for one guy, one very large angry guy, who let his dog trap me in the garden while he yelled at me for 5 whole minutes until I cried. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my obnoxious bully of an aunt forced me to walk a mile to the store in the rain to buy her a lottery ticket. When I got back, she thanked me by scream-singing “When Somebody Loves You” in the most ear-rapingly atrocious caterwaul imaginable. We’re staying with her for the rest of the week. FML
Today, my crazy neighbor screamed at me from her porch for walking "too close" to her plants. I was on the sidewalk. She sprayed me with her hose anyway. FML
Today, I had to call the cops on my batshit crazy neighbor, who’s repeatedly threatened to steal my dog. I finally got her ass on camera. She swears that my dog is being abused because it prefers to sleep outside instead of being in the house. Imagine that, an animal that likes being outside. FML
Today, I received a $500 fine for an "unruly" dog. I don't have a dog. FML
Today, I was called an assortment of names and was almost followed home by a crazy bitch. Why? Because I stated that it was unsanitary for her to bring her dog to a grocery store. She clearly disagreed. FML
Today, I spent several hours downtown with my violent grandma, after she was arrested for threatening a guy with a gun. His crime? "Trespassing" by ringing the doorbell and asking if she was interested in donating to charity. FML
Today, while on my run, I was attacked by my neighbor's new dog. It apparently didn't like me running past their house and broke free from its chain. I now have stitches and was just told that I'm probably being taken to court for the emotional distress I caused her and the dog. FML
Today, I had to come back home early from my holidays. Why? I had asked my grandmother to water my plants, some of which are illegal. Instead of doing it herself, she asked her neighbor… who is a cop. FML
Today, I was threatened with arrest for refusing to accept a citation for having a dog off leash in a park. It wasn’t my fucking dog! It was a very friendly stray that started following me on my morning walk. I tried to explain myself but the dog wouldn’t leave my side or stop barking at the cop. FML
Today, I was shopping when I got charged at by a really big dog, causing me to panic and fall. The store won’t do anything because the cunt of an owner lied and said it’s her “service dog.” FML

Doing an errand for your Aunt is one thing - Her using you to deliver fines is quite beyond what is reasonable. OP, don’t let Aunt use you like that again… HOA and their boards are a tricky subject. Some HOA’s are “condo Nazis” like one I had to deal with who are simply power-mad. But HOA’s also can and do serve the majority of the residents to keep the neighborhood appearance and ultimately the value of the homes there. Before moving into an HOA property, know what the rules are and if you aren’t willing to follow those rules don’t move there - It will save everyone aggravation.

We don't often get to praise bailiffs, who do a very dangerous job while making sure everybody is informed of the charges against them, and deliver mail better than any postal service. And they are nice people too! A bailiff is what your aunt needs.

I hate HOAs... they're the stupidest thing ever. "Oh, you own this house? That's great - now let me tell you how it has to look and what you can and can't do on your own property." I wouldn't have done that for anyone.
